Another weekend is headed our way and team, it’s going to be a busy one. With news that Sunday is set to peak with summer-style temps, we know you’ll want to be out amongst it and lucky for you guys you’ve landed on this list.
Here are the top things to do in Sydney this weekend, because a full social calendar is the very best kind, and you totally deserve it.
INDU Winter Feast
Whilst we’ve been counting down the days left in winter, our friends at INDU have been celebrating each and every day of the colder weather with a lunch feast. It’s all about these final 45 day feels (we’re THAT close to spring), with a $45 feast (see what they did there?). With spicy Southern Indian curries (an absolute must), paired with their signature Sri Lankan flavours, this one is worth the decent post-feed food baby.

And as if these ‘diamonds of gastronomy’ couldn’t be any more perfect already, how about a five-course dinner featuring all of the wine? Your belly is crying out for the steak tartare and truffle en croute (even if you don’t know it yet), beef fillet with fried quail egg, and we know that you won’t be saying no to gnocchi with truffle butter? No you’re not hallucinating; chicken wing day is officially a thing. Dig out your lederhosen, dirndls (or just your most elasticated pants) ‘cause Munich Brauhaus, Bavarian Bier Café and the Bavarian are all cooking up a wing storm this weekend. Their mission: to break the wing record with 100,000 wings served across the 14 locations in the space of a single ‘flappy’ hour. And for those of you with tight wallet zips, these babies are going for a measly 10c each, OR splash a 20 and get a kilo of wings plus a beer! If you’re a self-proclaimed wing wonder, 3pm on Saturday is your time to shine in the wing eating competition, with the fastest person to munch through 20 wings earning themselves a clean $250.

Just when you thought this weekend couldn’t get any better, it turns out there’s an entire day dedicated to lasagne. To honour what must be the best day of the year, Machiavelli Ristorante Italiano have put their Italian heritage and kitchen skills to good use, creating a ridiculously good pork belly lasagne. The guys over at Machiavelli’s know what it takes to plate up a damn good lasagne, with its creamy fillings of grana padana between each layer and crispy edges. Plus, all hail the pork crackling (ooooh yes, it’ll be there too). This special lasagne will be hanging around until the end of August, so get on it.
