Thursday is almost Friday, which is almost the weekend, which means it’s time to get your drink on—our thinking is flawless BTW. We figured that most people need a little incentive to get through the work week, and what better way than sipping on delicious (and economic) bevvies in Sydney each and every Thursday night.
No matter what your #1 drink is (rosé, gin, beer, wine or all of the above), we’re sure there is a happy hour that’s just perfect for you.
From 4pm till 6pm, our pals over at Hubert are offering aperitif with $3 olives, $5 pickles, $10 negronis, $5 shiraz and $5 G&Ts, just to name a few. With prices like this, we won’t blame you if you end up eating and drinking your way through the entire aperitif menu, you do you. PSA: these epic deals are actually available every, single day of the week. We know.
PSA for all gin lovers—gin and tonics on tap are officially a thing. Gin Lane runs happy hour from 7pm where a G&T will set you back a cool $8, which means this is your new fabulous pre-game drinking spot.
Since I Left You
Each Thursday night in the SILY courtyard you can catch local musos and DJs from 6:30pm till late. What’s even better is that all tinnies are $6 and their classic cocktails are just 12 bucks, but you’ll want to book a table, this is some seriously popular budget fun.
Get your drink on at Bondi’s Can Cava this Thursday evening with $10 spritz. We repeat, $10 spritz with any food purchase (think goat cheese and honey croquettes, or grilled calamari with capers and chilli), happy hour is a hungry game after all.
If like us, you’re low key obsessed with cocktails (but not so keen on dishing out $25), we’ve officially found your happy place. In Situ serves some of Sydney’s finest cocktails like their apple crumble martini, the chai infused espresso martini, or their jalapeno caipirinha, all for just $10 every day from 4pm till 7pm. In Situ totally gets us.
We can all agree that rosé is life, which is why we’re huge fans of the guys at Black Bottle who offer a $5 glass of Provence Rosé every Thursday. We’re talking $5 rosé all night long. Heck. Yes.
The Observer Hotel
The Observer Hotel has been redone and is ready for you to get your drink on. With $5 schooners of tap beer and cider (hellooooo budget baller) and cocktail spritz on tap, also for a cool 5 dollary-doos, you'll be able to take the edge off even on those Thursdays before pay day.
Enjoy $15 cocktails and $8 house spirits and wines at the Hilton’s Marble Bar from 6pm till 8pm, the perfect after work pick me up. We’re totally going for the Sloe Proof cocktail with Plymouth sloe gin, Chambord and pineapple juice, but feel free to have a squiz at the other 16 cocktails on offer.
If after work drinks are all that’s getting you through this work week, Untied Rooftop feels your pain and is here to help. From 4pm till 6pm, you’ll be able to score $7 house wine, house spirits and Hawthorn beer which we think is pretty freaking cool (especially since you’ll be sitting on a rooftop, overlooking Sydney harbour annnd not at work).
