Peta Kruger has transformed jewellery from a mere accessory to an artistic statement with her jewellery exhibition, Shapes of Things. Brought to you by Courtesy of the Artist from 5:30pm-8pm, she explores the intricacies of traditional fine jewellery and costume jewellery through deconstruction and reconstruction. Check out a series of hand painted brooches, neckpieces and earrings guaranteed to wow.
The Aston Martinis at The Golden Sheaf
Get the party started at the Golden Sheaf Hotel with the Aston Martinis. This Sydney band performs a great mix of swing and classic soul tunes with a touch of class and loads of energy guaranteed to kick start your weekend a day early. Meet The Brewers Night at Blackrock Brasserie
Meet the makers and learn the secrets behind the industry of brewing and beer. Greenwood Snow Party
Embrace the winter chill this Friday 10th and Saturday 11th July at the Greenwood Hotel. Celebrate the frosty season with snow cannons shooting 50 tonnes of snow into the courtyard throughout the event as the Greenwood Hotel transforms into a winter wonderland. Take in the ski-themed props and experience the incredible line up of drinks from GH Mumm’s indoor Champagne bar, Rekorderlig’s outdoor Warm Cider Bar and Smirnoff Vodka’s huge igloo. If the drinks aren’t enough to warm you up, then get moving and keep warm with tunes from DJ Kate Munroe. Schnappy hour is also from 6-8pm so there is no excuse to stay in hibernation this weekend.
Beer and Yoga at Batch Brewery
We know what you’re thinking: beer, and yoga? But before you cast this aside, let us sell you on this wonderful event. Urban Flow Yoga is holding this detoxing yoga class at Batch Brewery in Marrickville, so you can get your sweaty bendiness on before rewarding yourself with a delicious local beer. Foodies seem to flock together like birds of a feather when it comes to events like these. The Cloudy Bay Pinot and Duck Trail has returned by popular demand this July. Some of Sydney’s best restaurants are ready to offer their signature duck dishes with the recently released Cloudy Bay Pinot 2013. The pinot’s delicious earthy berry and red fruit tones will complement an exciting array of duck creations including Sokyo’s Binchoutan smoked duck with Jerusalem artichoke, compressed Kaki, faro and hazelnut furikake, or the jumjum Muscovy duck from The Gantry.
