How is it already the end of March? With a quarter of the year almost done, and autumn well and truly underway in Sydney/Eora, the calendar remains full of festivities and epic events.

We're excited to wrap up the month with a long weekend of Easter festivities and sun-soaked shenanigans from endless Easter treats and free-flowing Aperol spritzes at high tea to bustling new markets and an inflatable rubber duck pool party.

Jacksons on George is teaming up with party collective House of Mince and Don Julio tequila to host a completely free, one-off, three-level extravaganza showcasing 
a diverse lineup of unique creative voices from Sydney’s queer community. House of Mince OpenAir will spread over the rooftop bar with DJs, a camp cabaret lineup in Bistrot George, and house party vibes on ground level in the public bar.

Savour the masterful mixology of crafted cocktails featuring Don Julio tequila, such as the Margot-rita; a blend of Don Julio Blanco, Papa Salt gin, eucalyptus, honey and lime and the 1942 Sgroppino blending Don Julio 1942, passionfruit sorbet and prosecco. Ramadan Nights Lakemba

19 Haldon Street, Lakemba | Thursdays–Sundays, 6pm–3am until Monday 8 April

Experience the unparalleled atmosphere of Ramadan Nights Lakemba, returning in 2024 for a month-long cultural extravaganza. Immerse yourself in the rich traditions of Ramadan and enjoy culinary delights from 65 food stalls including the iconic stretchy knafeh, camel burgers, and Arabian coffee.

Whether you're breaking a Ramadan fast or just heading along to explore new foods and enjoy the festive atmosphere, Ramadan Nights is a must for Sydneysiders to experience; 1.4 million people went along in 2023. They stay running until 3am, so consider poking along for the ultimate late-night feast.

Easter Weekend At Pier Bar

Make the most of the Easter long weekend at sunny waterfront spot Pier Bar with drinks, tunes, and delicious food specials making it the perfect chance to check out their new on-water pontoon.

There'll be a Mexican pop-up doing fish, chicken and plant-based tacos and $12 cocktails, and DJs Conor Hart and Venuto spinning during sunset hours. You can try your luck walking in, or make a booking.

Sailmaker Good Friday Seafood Dinner

Ring in the Easter long weekend with a seafood feast with Sailmaker’s Good Friday Seafood Dinner. After indulging in Mediterranean tapas, choose from a selection of six entrees and six mains featuring local and sustainable produce plus a dessert buffet for $110pp.

The seasonal menu includes starters like Hawkesbury River oysters and Fremantle octopus. Calling all pet parents: bring your pooch along to Forresters Easter Dog Show for an afternoon of fluffy fun. Forrester’s are hosting an Easter-themed doggie costume parade, slinging prizes to the pups with the most creative, funniest and cutest costumes. Plus, the Easter hunt is the perfect opportunity for your doggo to snag some tasty treats, with toys and treats hidden throughout Phylli’s Garden. 

Don’t leave all the fun to your furry friend, join in on an adult Easter egg hunt around the venue to find hidden eggs and win some smashing prizes.

Sydney’s newest 50-stall market, Green Square Market is launching this weekend. From food, beverages, homewares, fashion, gifting and arts and crafts stalls, there’s something for everyone. Presented by Cambridge Markets, Green Square Market will be held every Saturday from 8am–2pm. 

Enjoy Portuguese tarts from Natas and Co., a selection of pastries from Ton Ton Bakery, Vietnamese street food from Phan’s House and duck pancakes from Yum Cha Eat Street. Haven't made Easter Sunday plans yet? Don’t worry, Cambridge Markets has you covered and is bringing its 150+ stalls to The Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park for one day only. Sample gourmet world food, pick up a pressie for your pets, and bring the kids to catch a sighting of the Easter Bunny, who, despite coming from an early work shift, will be dropping by after clocking off…once egg-drop duties are done for the year, of course.

Mov’In Bed Beach Cinema

The home of cosy cinema is moving; Mov’In Bed Beach Cinema, which has won the hearts of many reclined Sydney cinema-goers in recent years, is shifting its furniture to the beach. The world’s biggest outdoor “bed cinema” is setting up shop on Barangaroo’s Harbour Park this summer, where 280 tonnes of white sand will be topped with a five-metre 4K screen and 150 queen-size beds, pillows and blankets.

Tuck yourself in for recent blockbusters like NapoleonKillers of the Flower Moon and Ferrari, and enjoy luxury tableside service throughout the screening. Learn more here.

Biennale Of Sydney

The completely free cultural kaleidoscope that is the Biennale of Sydney makes a grand return for its 24th time with Ten Thousand Suns featuring works from 96 leading artists from 50 countries spread over six spaces including the Art Gallery of NSW, Museum of Contemporary Art, Chau Chak Wing Museum, and the recently refurbished White Bay Power Station.

The Biennale is the largest contemporary art event of its kind in Australia, making it an unmissable event for art aficionados—and it's all completely free to experience. Ramses & The Gold Of The Pharaohs

After showing in Paris, Houston, and San Francisco, the incredible Ramses & the Gold of the Pharaohs exhibition is headed to Sydney. The blockbuster exhibition will feature the actual sarcophagus of Ramses II—one of the most impressive royal coffins from ancient Egypt ever to be discovered—plus 181 priceless artefacts including animal mummies, jewellery, spectacular royal masks, and exquisite amulets, making it the largest cultural exhibition to visit Sydney in over a decade.
