If your ideal Sunday involves charcoal smoke drifting through a Chippendale laneway and a cold beer in hand, this one’s for you—Kyiv Social is hosting two back-to-back chef takeovers this March, handing the grill to a pair of inner west heavyweights for one-day-only menus.
On 8 March, Tim Cassimatis of Olympic Meats steps up to the charcoal for a one-day-only menu built for cold beers and smoky plates. Then on 15 March, Toby Wilson (Rico’s Taco Truck and Ghostboy Cantina) takes the reins — bringing his own flavour, soundtrack and off-menu specials you won’t catch anywhere else.
Each chef curates the vibe, runs the grill and serves dishes designed to be eaten standing, leaning or perched with a Young Henrys in hand.
All About Women Festival 2026

All About Women is back at the Sydney Opera House for its fourteenth year, and the 2026 program is shaping up to be one of its biggest yet. Taking over the sails on Sunday 8 March (International Women’s Day, no less), the festival will bring together more than 30 of the sharpest minds in culture, politics, literature, money, medicine and pop feminism for a full day of bold, brainy and sometimes spicy conversation.
Joining previously announced heavy-hitters Jacinda Ardern, Zadie Smith, Emily Maitlis and Laila Lalami are a new wave of headline speakers—including Marisa Meltzer, Yumi Stynes and Chanté Joseph. There's also a seriously stacked lineup of writers, thinkers, artists and experts ready to tackle everything from dating burnout and medical misogyny to money, motherhood and modern masculinity.
Book A Chianti Dinner With Tuscany’s Leading Female Winemakers

Ahead of International Women’s Day, fine wine importer Vino Cammino is bringing one of Tuscany’s most exciting female winemakers to Sydney for a rare public event.
On Friday 6 March, Sophie Conte (Fattoria Tregole, Chianti Classico) takes over Ventuno in Walsh Bay for a Champagne-on-arrival dinner and guided tasting through multiple expressions of Chianti Classico—including a vertical vintage lineup.
We Three Bar: International Women's Day Celebration

If you’re keen to celebrate International Women’s Day somewhere a little more intimate (read: wine in hand, art on the walls, live music in the front bar), Marrickville’s We Three is throwing a feel-good afternoon dedicated to women doing great things.
The mother-daughter duo behind the neighbourhood bar—Alli and Catherine—are marking both IWD and two-and-a-half years of We Three with a Sunday session that champions female creatives across art, music and wine. It’s open to the public, sponsored by See Saw Wine, and promises a thoughtfully curated lineup from 3pm sharp.
The afternoon kicks off with the launch of a new exhibition by photographer and videographer Zoe Hyland, followed by a portrait reveal celebrating Colombian musician Dica. At 4pm, Dica takes over the front bar for an intimate solo set, transforming the space into a relaxed listening lounge to round out the celebration.
There’ll also be organic prosecco poured by Orange-based winemaker Monica Gray (from See Saw Wine), alongside We Three’s usual by-the-glass and bottle list—so you can toast the women in your life properly.

To celebrate the opening of Motto Motto Randwick, the Brisbane-born Japanese kitchen is turning up the heat with a one-day-only $1 Ramen Day on Saturday, 7 March 2026. The deal will qualify for the first 400 heads through the door is exclusive to the venue's cult classic tonkotsu ramen. The silky bowl is of goodness is made from a rich pork bone broth, perfectly balanced shoyu kaeshi, freshly pulled noodles, a marinated soft-boiled egg, fresh shallots, and a touch of seaweed.

For a sun-drenched celebration of women in wine, head to the lawns at Chiswick this Saturday.
The International Women’s Day Wine Market brings together a curated lineup of female-founded wine labels, handpicked by Solotel Beverage Manager and Master of Wine Annette Lacey, alongside Aria sommeliers Mimi Mrazakova and Vicki Lou Peng. Expect tastings, storytelling and the chance to meet the makers behind the bottles.
There’ll also be a St-Germain Spritz Bar and seasonal lawn bites from Sous Chef Naomi Xavier, with $5 from every ticket donated to Two Good Co. It’s shaping up to be one of the loveliest afternoons on the IWD calendar—especially for wine lovers.

The team behind the neighbourhood favourite is hosting a special set-menu feast paired with a two-hour wine package spotlighting female winemakers. Each table will be dressed with fresh blooms by Alana Jane Studios, adding a thoughtful (and very Instagrammable) touch to the afternoon.

Steakhouse favourite 20 Chapel is heading to the brewery floor for a one-day kitchen takeover at Philter Brewing—and it’s bringing wagyu with it.
At the centre of Philthy Chapel are the exclusive 20 Chapel Snack Packs: a high–low remix of the late-night classic, built around cult wagyu-fat wedges layered with premium beef, fries and housemade sauces. Alongside them, expect a tight edit of signatures including BBQ octopus with romesco, grilled prawn skewers, Sichuan duck leg and wagyu white bolognese pizza.
Philter beers will be matched to the menu, DJs will spin 90s hip-hop, and the whole thing is designed to roll from lunch into late afternoon. It runs until 9pm or sold out—which feels likely.
AFC Women's Asian Cup Australia 2026

Asia's top women footballers are taking over Sydney for a month-long showdown. The AFC Women's Asian Cup Australia 2026™ kicks off from Sunday 1 to Saturday 21 March, marking the adrenaline-fuelled final Asia-Pacific qualifier for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
Totalling 11 matches here in Syd, major stars like the Matildas' Caitlin Foord, India's Sangita Basfore and Korea Republic's Ji So-yun are lighting up the pitch at Parramatta’s Western Sydney Stadium and Stadium Australia in Sydney Olympic Park.
Rival teams will go head-to-head in a blockbuster atmosphere. Plus, our homegrown Tillies are hitting the field on Sunday 8 March—an unmissable game for fans. Tickets start at just $20 for the games.
Cantina OK!: Mezcal Haul From Oaxaca

Cantina OK! has just dropped 18 ultra-rare mezcals sourced straight from remote villages in Oaxaca and Jalisco — and there are fewer than three litres of each in the country.
Hand-carried back from a 10-day sourcing trip in December, the lineup spans nine tiny producers, with spirits shaped by cliffside terroir, wild agave varieties and centuries-old distilling methods. Highlights include a wagyu beef pechuga from San Luis Amatlán, a fruit-forward trio from south Jalisco and a small-batch bottle from a young mezcalero producing just 40 litres a week.
They’re pouring by the glass until they’re gone — which, given the quantities, won’t be long.
Lakemba Nights During Ramadan

The Lakemba Night Markets are back in 2026, running from February 19 to March 15, and once again, this famed strip will shapeshift into a late-night food hub that draws people from all over the city.
The offering spans Islamic and global cuisines, with stalls cooking up at a whole lot of pace and volume. Tandoori chicken wraps, Pakistani chicken shawarma, (paired with hot, sweet chai), icy bingsu, Indonesian bakso soup and lemon chicken are just some of the must-try spots popping up every evening.
The event takes place around Haldon Street and The Boulevarde in Lakemba, a short walk from Lakemba Train Station, with multiple bus routes servicing the area.

An inner-city institution since 1981, the Olympic-sized rink spent most of 2025 undergoing a multi-million-dollar glow-up—and now it’s officially back. Expect a pristine new ice surface, slick tech upgrades and modern amenities.
They also have a disco session every Friday and Saturday night from 8.30pm to 10.30pm. Including skate hire, all session tickets are $32 for adults, $29 for students, $28 for children under 16 years and $12 for children under 5 years with a paying adult.
