Gibney
Cottesloe
It’s been the hottest spot to be seen all summer for a reason. Cottesloe’s sophisticated seaside brasserie exudes luxury with its seamless service, unbeatable views and cocktails that go down a little too easily, and the premium four-course menu is no exception. It’s not cheap at $260 per person, but your better half is worth it.
Bertie
Bassendean
Basso’s British-ish wine bar has selected their most-loved dishes for a memorable Valentine’s Day set menu. Even the dessert brings passion in spades, with a passion fruit cheesecake to end the evening. Don’t forget to add on a cocktail by one of Australia's top cocktail shakers James Conolly, or buy a bottle from the extensive list of Australian and international drops.

Perth CBD
What do you get when you add six oysters and two martinis? A whole lot of luuuurve, that’s what. This Valentine’s Day, Bobeche is upping the romance (and the libido…), serving half a dozen amorous oysters with either two martinis for $75 or two glasses of champagne for $99.

Scarborough Beach Bar
Scarborough
There’s something undeniably romantic about being by the beach. The love runs deep at Subi’s mod-Oz wine bar. Book a table on February 14 and choose from the two set menu offerings, a $70 or $90 option, both filled with Amelie favourites. Push the boat out a little bit more and add on half crayfish or oysters and Champagne to your experience.
Petition
Perth CBD
On any given day, Petition is, for lack of a better word, a VIBE, but the State Building’s contemporary Australian eatery takes things up a notch on Valentine’s Day. Far too cool for white table cloths and stuffy service, watch the bespoke multi-course V-Day feast be plated up before your eyes in the bustling open kitchen, with pulled beef croquettes, house-made focaccia, a grazing board, choise of mains and more on the menu.
West Kitchen & Bar
Crawley

Say ‘te amo’ with formaggio with the Garden’s Say Cheese dinner: a cheesy, four-course shared set menu. The Court
Northbridge
The three traffic light colours have a bit of a different meaning at the Court's iconic Traffic Light party: green means single and ready to mingle, yellow means it’s complicated, and red means in loooove. Wear clothes the colour of your relationship status to avoid any confusion as to who is single and who is taken, and strap in for a wild night.
Zypher Lounge
Perth CBD
You’ll score extra points for taking your date to the city’s brand spankin’ new modern Japanese restaurant. Having only opened in December of last year, the Omakase menu is already the talk of the town. It’ll set you back $215 per person but is well worth forking out for with Hiramasa with jalapeño dressing, crispy hosomaki wagyu yukke with foie gras, hay-smoked Wagyu MB9+ striploin with black garlic jus, Glacier 51 toothfish with shiitake cream sauce and more on the menu.

The Valentine’s Day menu at Manning’s modern-Italian restaurant includes fresh oysters, Kingfish carpaccio, Tuscan-style lamb ribs, diavola-dusted chicken, Shark Bay clam squid ink spaghetti and pumpkin gnocchi, before your choice of mains and a white chocolate and passionfruit pannacotta for finish. Now THAT’S amore.
Miss Chow’s South Perth
South Perth
It’s all dreamy dumplings and riverside romance at Miss Chow’s South Perth outpost. There's two seating, but it’s the latter we’ve got our eye on. From 8:30pm, the lavish 5-course feast includes a glass of Laurent-Perrier champagne on arrival and live music to set the mood.
Cottesloe Beach Hotel
Cottesloe
It’s getting hot at the Cott this V-Day with a four-course seafood-heavy feast. Covering all the critters of the ocean, there’s Cervantes Rock lobster croquettes, freshly shucked Albany Rocker oysters by the Viking Shucker, a choice of wood-grilled Shark Bay tiger prawns, tuna crudo or battered zucchini flowers for a starter, a choice of main from braised beef cheek, West Coast snapper or mushroom risotto, and then a house-made mille-feuille to finish.

Things To Do
Facials For Two
Skip the sips at the State Buildings and unwind at COMO Shambhala The Treasury with one of the many curated couples experiences. Our pick is the COMO Shambhala To Share, starting with a the hotel’s deeply relaxing 60-minute signature massage before ending with a 30-minute express facial.
Ten Pin Bowling
Break out one of the classics and take your Valentine bowling. With a decent dose of nostalgia, fun and some friendly competition thrown in for good measure, ten pin bowling is a classic for a reason. Secure a lane at Strike or Archie Brothers, and don’t forget to let your crush win.
Jazz Bars
If you enjoy the smooth, romantic tones of the saxophone (or should we say sexyphone?) go straight to The Ellington. Park up with vino for the most intimate, lively jazz you’ll experience in Perth. If you’re continuing the night, why not head to The Bird or Pica Bar?

Pamper your plus one and splurge on a spa treatment and bliss out at BODHI. If you’re not sure where to start, just head to the Pleasure Gardens, grab a bite to eat and see what show takes your fancy.
Pottery Classes
We can write off a The-Notebook-Style kiss in the rain because it's summer here in Australia, and we can also write off a Dirty-Dancing-Esque lift because we aren’t dating Patrick Swayze. But we WILL NOT write off a Ghost-Style sensual pottery venture. Not Yet Perfect Pottery Studio in Applecross runs regular wheel throwing and wine classes that are definitely worth a crack (pun intended) for your next date night. Afterwards, you can head to The Rowing Pavilion or the Raffles Hotel for riverside bevs and bites.
Paint And Sip
Whether you're artistically blessed or struggle with basic stick figures, a good old paint and sip class is always a good time. Aided of course by a glass of vino in hand, these art classes include all the equipment you need and a qualified artist as your instructor. So all you really have to worry about is looking cute and turning up on time. Scope out Perth's best paint and sip classes and get booking.
Outdoor Cinemas
Image credit: Somerville Movies | Supplied
You're absolutely spoilt for choice around this time of year, with so many awesome outdoor cinemas worth a look. Moonlight Cinema, hosted on the lawns of our iconic Kings Park, has a stellar lineup of romantic flicks running this Feb. Somerville Movies is home to the coolest indie films and the most magical setting beneath the pines. And Rooftop Movies has an unbeatable atmosphere and throwback films.
Escape Rooms
If you thought building Ikea furniture was the ultimate relationship test, we’re here to prove you wrong. Escape This in Northbridge has a steamy Pirate Island room, and if you ask us there is nothing more romantic than being surrounded by darkness, fog, and of course, skulls and crossbones. Alternatively, you could say “I love you” with a high stakes attempt at Escape Hunt in Fremantle - we recommend the Spy Mission room for that sexy Ocean's 11 vibe (George Clooney and Brad Pitt not included). Otherwise, these Perth Escape Rooms are worth checking out too.
Axe Throwing
Break the ice or the monotony of your usual date night with a relaxing and romantic session of axe throwing. Head to Northbridge’s Maniax where you can throw hatchets for two hours and be treated to a drink on the house post-throw, or swing by Lumber Punks for 90 minute sessions with full training by their axe-perts. Afterwards, head around the corner to the nearby Bright Tank brewpub for a ‘Beer My Valentine’ six-pack in a colourful love-up carrier.
Staycays
Image credit: COMO The Treasury | Instagram
If things are getting serious a luxe little staycay at one of Perth’s best hotels is the perfect way to max out on those honeymoon phase vibes. From boutique beauties such as the Hougoumont Hotel in Fremantle; the unmatched heritage charm, and sophistication of the COMO The Treasury; the trendy Alex Hotel; and Rivervale’s award-winning Aloft Perth, there’s no denying Perth has an irresistible selection on offer.
Mini Golf
As much as we love a dimly lit bar and romantic dinner date on Valentine's day, we just can't pass up the opportunity to be both a human glow stick AND Tiger Woods this Feb 14. Five minutes south of Fremantle you’ll find Glowing Rooms, where you can do glow-in-the-dark mini-golf or VR escape rooms. With floors and walls painted by specialised artists and some magic glasses, you’ll soon be putting your way through some amazing glow-in-the-dark landscapes.
Art Gallery
Whether you're into art or not, there’s something pretty romantic about strolling through gallery exhibitions and soaking up the cultural sights with someone. Plus, they also provide plenty of great conversation starters along the way. The Art Gallery of WA has some great exhibitions running and a stunning rooftop bar with epic views over the city. There’s also the nearby Perth Institute of Contemporary Art, which can be paired with a glass of wine and an epic grazing board at Picabar.
Picnics
I think everyone who’s ever been on a picnic has said “we should do this more often” so why not do it this Valentine’s Day?! You really can’t go wrong at these stunning spots. Otherwise just pick a spot that is sentimental for you, or walking distance from home if you plan on sharing a few bevvies together.
