Didn’t get your fill of everybody’s favourite hazelnut spread on World Nutella Day? Never fear dear Listers, for Nuts About Tella is at it again this weekend with a pop-up dessert bar. Book of Mormon Tickets From $40 

Hello! My name is Elder Nenna, and I would like to share with you the most amazing news. The Book of Mormon opened this week and we could not be more excited! If you are desperate to hang out with The Army of the Church of Jesus Christ...of Latter Day Saints but don’t feel like paying a hefty fee, the $40 ticket lottery is the way to go. Simply pop down to the Princess Theatre two and a half hours before each night’s show, fill in a quick little form and go into the draw to win up to two tickets. Praise Mormon Jesus!

Yarra Street Food Fest 

Catch the 70 tram down to Burnley Park this weekend and get ready for some great music and tasty food served from a truck. Sponsored by Mountain Goat, the Yarra Street Food Fest is sure to have a huge range of refreshing bevs on offer. The food trucks rotate daily so check out their website for all the details.

NGV x La Trobe

Calling anyone and everyone artistic! La Trobe University is hosting the ultimate feel-good installation at NGV Friday Nights. Serial doodle-ers, scribblers and inner artists can create their own virtual, David Hockney-inspired trees using La Trobe's clever program. By "planting" your tree in a scale replica of their Wildlife Sanctuary, you're planting a living, breathing tree in reality, thanks to La Trobe. After you're done and dusted, chow through food and drink with live performances and DJs throughout the night. You've worked up an appetite, after all. Head to the website for more details.

Adult Ballet Classes 

Channel your inner White Swan and try your hand at an adult ballet class. Held at the Ministry of Dance in North Melbourne, you’ll be taught by professional ballet dancers including award-winning artists of The Australian Ballet, Queensland Ballet, Sydney Dance Company, English National Ballet and The Royal New Zealand Ballet. These classes cater to all levels, so whether you’re a complete novice or just a little rusty, you can pirouette your way into the weekend.

NGV Friday Nights 

If you enjoy your after-work drinks with a side of art and live music, NGV Friday Nights is the place for you. Every Friday sees the National Gallery of Victoria come to life with live music, DJ sets, talks, food and bars, all from 6pm. This week catch the housey synth and groovy bass of underground eight-piece extravaganza NO ZU. Tickets available here

While you’re at the NGV be sure to check out Lawrence Weiner’s Out of Sight, in front of the iconic Water Wall. Be inspired to think creatively as the work encourages you to look at your life in a positive light through visualisation.

Knee Deep In Melbourne 

Fresh off the boat from a ripper season in Ibiza, British DJ and Producer, Hot Since 82 — along with his DJ friends Butch, Cristoph, Emanuel Satie and Boog$ — is turning up The Paddock at Federation Square for a night of cracking tunes and good times. Grab a ticket before they’re all gone!

MSO Plays Romeo And Juliet 

This Saturday, the beautiful sounds of The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra will echo through the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in the second instalment of their free concert series. Conducted by Benjamin Northey, the MSO is set to deliver a performance of Sergei Prokofiev’s Ballet, Romeo and Juliet, that’s guaranteed to be just as dramatic as the story itself. The concert will also feature excerpts from Elena Kats-Chernin’s Golden Kitsch and Rachmaninov’s Symphonic Dances.

Party With Timmy Trumpet And Usain Bolt 

Usain Bolt is celebrating the final of the Nitro Athletics Series and is in serious need of a boogie! Head down to Therapy Nightclub this Saturday night for your chance to catch a glimpse of the world’s fastest man dabbing to the pumping sounds of Timmy Trumpet. Caulfield Family Day

Kicking off on Saturday and running through until Sunday, enthusiasts of this tasty, pungent bulb will have the opportunity to meet local growers, talk to the experts about how garlic is grown, and eat some amazing garlicky food.

St Kilda Festival
