Monday will be here before you know it, which means you've got a whole three days to get busy before another working week circles back around. So what are you waiting for? There's so much to do, and not much time to do it. But if you don't end up leaving the couch, we'll try not hold it against you. Key word, try.

Club Royale At Chadstone

Are you keen for some shopping with a side of arcade fun this weekend? If so, Chadstone's Club Royale is just what the doctor ordered. Located across three spots within the centre, there's over $200,000 worth of prizes up for grabs at Club Royale Bowling, Club Royale Arcade and Club Royale House of Skill. Forget poorly stitched stuffed animals, we're talking legit prizes from Tiffany & Co, The Daily Edited and more. Score yourself a prize, then hit up the new food court. It's pretty epic.

Forever Crazy At Crown Melbourne

Glow Winter Arts Festival

The City of Stonnington is about to get lit. The Glow Winter Arts Festival is back this year, and it's bigger and brighter than ever. Over the course of 11 evenings, Stonnington’s most iconic venues will play host to a variety of lighting installations and larger than life illuminated after-dark artworks. Now in its fourth year, the festival will kick-off with a spectacular opening night, unveiling newly commissioned works for the Festival and works never before seen in Victoria.

Friday 11 August

Beer & Burger Bar Re-Opening

Rising like a phoenix from the ashes, Richmond's Beer & Burger Bar is reopening (after an unfortunate kitchen fire) and they're bringing a few new burgers with them. They'll also still be rocking the $15 special ALL DAY, which includes any burger, golden chips and a pot of beer or soft drink. Over the weekend you'll also get a free side with every burger you buy. We've said it before and we'll say it again, it's the best value lunch on Swan Street. Oh Beer & Burger Bar, how we've missed you...

The Malt District Cremorne Tour

If you don't live or work in Cremorne, it's likely that the suburb doesn't even exist to you. It's one of Melbourne's greatest hidden treasures, often overshadowed by its cool big brother, Richmond. But thanks to a partnership between Culture Scouts and The Malt District, you've got the chance to explore the suburb and check out its art, design and culinary scene. The Malt District tour includes a guide to Cremorne’s cult cafes and foodie hot spots, street art including works by the infamous Lushsux, meetings with local artisans and artists, as well as a bit of backgrouond on Cremorne’s history. You even get to visit Melbourne's iconic Nylex Clock.

Mulled Wine And Hot Cheese Festival At Welcome To Thornbury

You know those terrible people who over-promise and under-deliver? Well if Welcome To Thornbury was a person, they'd be the opposite. Somehow everybody's fave food truck park in Thornbury always know how to keep making things better and better, one food truck at a time. Following the sell-out success of its first mulled wine and cheese festival, Welcome to Thornbury are throwing a second one. Appearances from Melbourne's finest wine and cheese experts will be on the scene including That’s Amore and Mr Burger (who are building a very special Raclette Burger for the day).

Terrarium And Kokedama workshops At Prahran Market

This Sunday at the Prahran Garden Centre you'll have the chance to learn the ins and outs of Terrarium and Kokedama building. *green thumb itches* After a free demonstration on how to nail the art of Terrarium or Kokedama construction, it'll be your turn to make your very own. Plants are around $7 each, BYO container and Zen attitudes. Spaces are limited, so get in quick.

Dandee Donut Eating Comp

Can you demolish a donut faster than any of your mates? Are you desperate for the glory you truly deserve? If that sounds like you, you need to be front and centre at the 2017 Dandee Donut Eating Competition. Over five rounds, you'll have the chance to prove that you are the greatest donut eater of them all, meaning you'll need to stuff your face with as many warm and sugary doughies as you can in two minutes. If you make it into the top five, you'll get to compete in the final round. What's at stake? Gaining five kilos, $500 and a trophy so you can feel like a real champ.

Round She Goes Fashion Market

The Round She Goes Market is gearing up for its final round of the year. This is your last chance to grab yourself some high fashion for a low price. As always, the offering includes a huge range of high fashion brands like Zimmerman, sass & bide, Cailla, Polo, Kookai and Shakuhachi. The Farmer, The Brewer & The Publican Sunday Lunch

The best kind of Sunday includes a quality Sunday lunch to round out the week and to food-coma you right into Monday. Hosted by the Pep Alliance, Carlton's Lincoln Hotel will be serving up a six-course feast prepared by some of the finest chefs, restaurateurs, and producers in the city. And if a top of the range six-course lunch wasn't enough to lure you in, there's ethically raised meat and beers from Tassie in the mix. Sold.

Oxjam At The Penny Black

Y'all better be ready to pump up the jam this Sunday, 'cause Oxjam is setting up shop at the Penny Black and they need you there to boogie oogie oogie. The event will raise funds for Oxjam, an Oxfam initiative that is fighting poverty and homelessness all over the world. They've collaborated with beer connoisseurs, Young Henrys and secured a line-up of some of the most influential acts in Aussie hip hop. Just in case the event didn't already have enough street cred, there'll be live graffiti illustrations, which will be raffled off throughout the day.

Ugly Duckling

At one point in our lives, we could all relate to being an ugly duckling. Which is why we identify with this cabaret on another level. The main character of the show, Duckie, considers herself a Z grade socialite and suffers dysmorphic delusions of grandeur. Will she finally into a beautiful swan? Wait no... she's a duck. Directed and written by the multi-award winning international cabaret artiste, Spanky, you're going to be in for one all sensory treat.

What's it gonna cost you to see Al Gore's new feature film, An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power? Thanks to Intrepid Travel, absolutely nothing. Aoyama Archive Pop-Up Launch

In what was once 69 Smith Street Gallery, Aoyama Archive will be setting up its first ever pop-up event, seeing a carefully curated selection of garments from the fashion industry's finest, including Issey Miyake, Comme des Garcons, Junya Watanabe, Yohji Yamamoto, Undercover and Jean Paul Gaultier. The archival collection will feature highly sought after pieces from the 80’s, 90’s, 00’s, plus more recent collections. There will also be a fair share of art gallery elements, including visual projections and old television monitors transmitting grainy footage of runways, snippets of Japanese manga and other related films, edited by visual artist Thomas Russell.

Noir Story Night At Grub Street

Looking for a classy evening that just speaks to you? We've got a quiet and novel-filled night in Fitzroy with your name all over it. The archetypal second-hand bookshop that is Grub Street is hosting an evening of readings, featuring some of Melbourne's best noiristas. It features a line-up of five readers, sharing their works whilst you enjoy a glass of red, or two. Arrive early to score the best spot nestled amongst the long aisles and book piles.
