Perth is going crazy for gelato at the moment and Whisk Creamery in Northbridge is one of the reasons why. This place really takes #foodporn to a new (dangerous) level. Picture this: a cronut, sandwiched with salted caramel gelato, homemade salted caramel sauce and topped with whipped cream. If that hasn't got you salivating then really, what will. The crew at Whisk Creamery are all about using quality produce and their soft soft-serve gelatos and frozen yoghurts are made with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. That's practically healthy in our book!

Third Wheel Cafe in South Fremantle caught our attention for all the right reasons. Serving up some of the most delicious coffee and even better cakes and cookies we just can't get enough. We're talking Persian fig and butterscotch cake here people! They also dish up some pretty rad gourmet sangas, soups and cold brew coffee.

Leederville newbie, Babylon Cafe, is adorable—think fun, colourful retro vibes, outdoor seating and lots of greenery. Situated behind the Rug Studio, this lovely cafe can be a little hard to find when you haven’t had your morning coffee, but it's well worth the hunt. They serve up a brew that is pretty close to perfection and you won't be able to resist pairing it with a homemade treat. Frisch and Barc

Founded on a love of food, coffee and community, Frisch and Barc is a stunning Como cafe that you will never want to leave. From the especially cool interior to the incredibly delicious brioche French toast with coconut pandan custard and mixed berry compote, not to mention the coffee—provided by local roaster Top Shelf Coffee—this place has really nailed the cool cafe vibe. Frisch and Barc also place a really big emphasis on tea and they serve a pretty tasty hot chocolate topped with a toasted American style marshmallow. Yummo!

Nomstar Ramen in Karawara has allll of the ramen! Yuummmmmm! This little place located within Waterford Plaza dishes up some of the tastiest noodle soups in P-town and the place just oozes that Japanese vibe. They serve up various ramen bowls, gyozas, karaage and so many pork buns. Don't forget the matcha and black sesame ice cream afterwards.

For a feel good coffee kick head to boutique cafe, Halo Espresso, in South Perth. All of Halo’s profits are invested in poverty-alleviating local initiatives, so it’s pretty safe to say these are the nicest cafe owners about town. The gorgeous Asian-inspired Chapels on Whatley is a quaint Perth cafe specialising in fine tea. More than 550 flavours are on offer, including British, French and Chinese black tea blends served in Wedgewood, Royal Daulton and Royal Albert China, and varieties of white, green, oolong and pu-erh tea served in glassware designed by Chapels themselves. If you’re after a real American BBQ experience, head to Mount Lawley's Side Door BBQ. They’ve got tasty smoked and non-smoked BBQ meats and all of the trimmings you could ever want or need including cornbread, BBQ beans with burnt ends, corn on the cob, pickled slaw and collard greens, as well as starters like pork belly lollipops and smoked brisket cigars. We can't get enough!

Following the trend of an all-encompassing business name, Slurp Soup and Salad Bar provides just that to the Perth CBD peeps. This popular lunch spot now in Enex 100 has a loyal following who queue up each day to get their mits on the likes of Chicken Veloute soup, served in a sourdough bread bowl or with a stick of perfectly toasted ham and cheese brioche. And if you are into health fads, you can get your daily dose of bone broth here too. Boom.

Remember to take a tissue to wipe the drool off your chin.

Yoga Tree Perth

With classes ranging from 60 to 90 minutes, you can practice everything from Bikram to hot yoga and Pilates at Yoga Tree Perth in East Victoria Park. The crew here have created a lovely little yogic sanctuary, the rooms are super clean and smell surprisingly pleasant and the bathrooms are some of the best we’ve come across in the hot yoga community in Perth. If heading home with a bundled up sweat towel stinking up your car is not your thing, you can even hire freshly cleaned mats and towels, so all you’ll need to wash after class is your yoga gear (and body obvi).

If you're in the mood for some Thai goodness that's a step above the rest then Itsara in Nedlands should be your go-to place. The flavours in all their dishes certainly pack a punch and the desserts are a pleasant surprise—we're all about the ginger and kaffir lime infused creme brulee FYI. Grab a date or a couple of pals and sit in the back courtyard surrounded by greenery and good company.

Mama Tran has come along and filled a Vietnamese-shaped hole in P-town and we are loving it. With their philosophy all about satisfying your taste buds without breaking your budget, Mama Tran is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Perth, dishing up cheap, delicious and truly authentic Vietnamese eats. We're salivating over the rice paper rolls and hot and spicy pho's on offer.

Cottesloe’s Up Town is brought to us by the guys who used to be behind Velvet Espresso so you already know the coffee is going be out of this world. But there are a few things you might not expect, like an all-day brunch menu featuring a heap of native ingredients. Think saltbush with baked eggs and roasted bunya nut with pumpkin doughnuts. There will also be some Greek treats and a heck of a lot of gluten-free goodness.

Who wants delicious bagels? Satchmo Cafe in North Perth have got the ol' classic bagel down pat and thank goodness for that! They also specialise in steacon. Not sure what that is? It's bacon...in a steak version. Thats right, an extra thick slice of bacon. Yess! The all-wooden, airy interior paired with the super cool jazz music at this gorgeous cafe make it the perfect spot to enjoy an all-day breakfast.

As soon as you walk into Tida Thai the aromas alone will make you think you're sitting on a beachside restaurant in Thailand, about to demolish some Pad Thai with a cocktail in your hand. The satay is perfection, the pineapple fried rice is delish and the chilli prawns are amaze-balls. This food will knock your socks off.

If you enjoy DIY meals you'll love Pepper Lunch in Mount Lawley. Taking up residence in the newly refurbished Beaux Lane, Pepper Lunch serve tasty Japanese fare which you cook on a piping hot 260 degree teppan at your table. Our favourites have to be the signature beef pepper rice and the salmon pepper rice, served with Pepper Lunch's unique margarine, corn and...you guessed it...loads of roasted black pepper. Mix it all up to cook to your liking and add some sweet or garlic sauce (or both) and enjoy, just don't burn your mouth!

Phi Yen

Phi Yen has been around for as long as we can remember and we never want to see it leave. This dainty Asian restaurant serves up some of the most delicious pho and rice vermicelli we've ever had and the rest of their menu is just as good! P.S. They also have a shop front in the ENEX100 food court. You're welcome.

The Office On Harrogate

The Office on Harrogate is a hip, small bar and cafe located in West Leederville. Its aim is to harness the synergies between cultured and casual, and that it does. The fit out has a relaxed urban feel—the perfect place for a quick business meeting (or not!) They have some unique brekky options like the lamb harissa hash with parsnip puree, while for lunch they offer a range of small and larger dishes as well as some takeway options. Once the sun goes down, a cocktail is a must. We love the simplicity of 'The Devil's Apple' - 666 Vodka, cold-pressed apple juice and mint. Now that's my type of green juice!

Two clever guys convinced the folks at the Cleaver Street Deli to let them serve coffee next door and thank god they did! These coffees are delish and word on the street is that the almond milk coffees are amaze! It’s a simple but effective strategy that Source Foods owners Emma and Samuel Ainsworth have based their labour of love on—use fresh, local, organic and free-range products and let the ingredients shine. The Oxford Hotel

The Oxford Hotel in Leederville pretty much screams quintessential pub. It opened way back in 1906 and the rustic charm remains, boasting high timber ceilings, a garden bar and cafe and a sunken cellar space. Their menu changes with the seasons but they aren't afraid of dishing up those pub-grub classics all year round and they have some pretty incredible specials every day of the week. Pizza for under $10? Yes please.

Fremantle’s health food hotspot, High Street Dispensary, is dishing up plenty of on-the-run breakfasts for the health freaks among us. They make their own granola and coconut yoghurt in house and the entire menu is gluten-free, dairy-free and sugar-free so nothing is off limits! If you're feeling brave, try the mushroom mocha. Yup, there are mushrooms in this, but also cacao, rapadura sugar and coconut milk to sweeten things up a bit and we hear it's pretty delish.
