Having served her time in the kitchen at Zumbo Rozelle and Cheeky Chocolate, this hole in the wall is serving up finger-licking deserts with an Asian twist. Her signature is a black-sesame tart with a creamy vanilla and chocolate center, as well as a green tea slice with layers of green tea, brown-roasted rice cream and Chantilly mascarpone.
169 Darlinghurst
Formerly The Goodwill Society pop-up, 169 Darlinghurst is the permanent café and rosé bar by the same guys behind Tatler nightclub. They call themselves a ‘lifestyle cafe’ and it isn’t hard to see why, because they have struck a balance between intensely nourishing dishes like the macrobiotic bowl (avocado, grated beetroot, roasted sweet potato, fermented vegetables, cauliflower, aduki beans and tahini dressing) with Pablo & Rusty’s coffee and cocktails to enjoy come evening.
