Lick Your Lips, Two Iconic Foodie Brands Just Dropped Epic Limited-Edition Eats

Let’s be real, when it comes to meals that make our mouth water burgers and pizza top the charts. So, we couldn’t be more hyped to hear two iconic Kiwi brands are teaming up to bring us a battle of the taste buds.

The team over at BurgerFuel has challenged Hell Pizza to a battle of the brands, Eat Fighter style. The catch? Each brand will need to hero an equally iconic Kiwi ingredient—drool-inducing slow-cooked Oamaru lamb—on a limited-edition creation for the month of October. So the question stands, would you rather a burger or a pizza? Let the battle begin.

BurgerFuel is leaving nothing behind, going straight for the takedown with a more-than-epic number titled the Roundhouse Ram. Featuring a stellar line-up of New Zealand ingredients, this one came to play, starring tender braised Oamaru lamb shoulder, complemented with sweet mint sauce, sautéed onions and smashed crumbed pea bites. It’s completed with a generous serving of fresh sliced tomatoes, batch-brewed tomato relish and free-range BurgerFuel Aioli. Consider Friday night—heck, every night of the week—sorted.

On the flipside, you’ll catch Hell Pizza coming back with a rather spine-chilling offering dubbed ‘Silencer of the Lambs’. Slinging native ingredients and powerful flavour combinations, they’re coming in swinging with slow-cooked Oamaru lamb on a kawakawa harissa base, with spinach, red onion, tomatoes, and feta, finished with mint and horopito aioli.

Whether you lean more burger or pizza—we’re partial to a good patty and bun in our humble opinion—you can’t miss this mouth-watering battle going down this October. Rally the crew and check out your nearest BurgerFuel to get in on the action.
