Alice In Wonderland Panto

There is nothing that is quite so Christmassy as a festive panto and Circa have a great one in store with Alice in Wonderland. See Wellington in peril because the Queen of Hearts is threatening to unleash the jabberwock. Alice, the Mad Hatter and usual suspects navigate wonderland with a panto twist. Don’t miss this festive necessity!
Hippopotamus Christmas High Tea

Hippopotamus are hosting the ultimate festive high tea this season that is sure to make your Christmas wishes come true. This oh-so-seasonal offering includes a glass of celebratory bubbles and three tiers of festive goodness including cinnamon and pear macarons, berry pavlova, Christmas pudding brandy snap, bûche de nöel, turkey and cranberry jam sandwiches and filoette truffled mushroom with parmesan snow. Cinderella: The Fairy Godmother Of All Pantomimes
Wellington, don’t miss a chance to see a fantastic festive performance of Cinderella this month at Hannah Playhouse. All the usual suspects will be there—the beautiful servant girl, pompous prince, fairy godmother and the
prince-stalking beauties from every corner of the village. This is a kid-friendly performance but for a special, naughty but nice edition, all 8.00pm performances are "Grown Ups Only"... Oh yes they are!
Christmas Fantastical is coming to the Kapiti Coast. Forget the usual walk through a Santa Grotto, this is a pop-up festive experience you can immerse yourself in and really interact with. Kids and grownups alike can explore the Christmas Tree Forest, the Elf Village and visit the ‘beach’ for a true Kiwi Christmas. Not forgetting the opportunity to meet the big man himself!
The Big Gay Christmas Drag Show

Love drag shows? Love Christmas? Well the Big Gay Christmas Drag Show packs both. Head to The Fringe Bar and catch Hugo Grrrl hosting a collection of the capital's most fabulous dashers, prancers and vixens for a night of Christmas frivolity. If this doesn't get you in the Christmas spirit, we don’t know what will.

No need for the kids to miss out on all the fun. Hugo Grrrl and friends are bringing their Christmas Drag Show suitable for all the family to The Fringe Bar. It is set to be a night of Christmas fun and frolics for all that promises to have kids out by 8.
Christmas At The Basin

Cricket Wellington are presenting the DREAM11 Super Smash double-header between the Wellington Firebirds and Blaze and the Otago Volts and Sparks on December 21. Last summer's smash was the biggest game in many years with
over 3500 fans attending, so it’s likely this year will top that. It's bound to be a festive fun day of sport at the Basin. Oh, and did we mention it’s free?
