We won’t beat around the Brachiosaurus because it’s true—Jurassic World: Dominion has been rescheduled to land in cinemas 10 June 2021.
However, the finer details of what fans can expect have been spilling like lava out of an erupting volcano which means the hype for the third instalment out of the Jurassic World movie franchise (and technically not a reboot of Jurassic Park considering its set-up takes place around 22 years after the Spielberg OG) is still very, very real.
So, what the hell can you expect from Jurassic World: Dominion? Well, for starters, it’s one of the first movies to kick itself back into production after coronavirus struck earlier this year so that 10 June movie release date next year is looking pretty solid for the moment. You’ll also get to see Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reclaim their roles as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing, as well as a golden trifecta of cast members from the original Jurassic Park. We’re talking Jeff Goldblum who’ll play Dr Ian Malcolm, Laura Dern—back at it as Dr Ellie Sattler and the one, the only, Sam Neill who’s returning as Dr Alan Grant.
As for the storyline, it’s pretty hush-hush for now but to give you a refresh, it’ll obviously continue on from where Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom left off, which saw the dinosaurs effectively… free from the Isla Nublar.
We’re still waiting for a trailer to hit for this one too, so stay tuned for that.
And in case you missed it, here are all the films that have been rescheduled due to coronavirus.
