It’s official; the next gen of supers have arrived to take over the fashion world. Ever since Kaia Gerber—daughter of genetically blessed supermodel, Cindy Crawford—walked her first runway late last year, all eyes have been on Lila Moss, daughter of Kate Moss (yes, that Kate Moss), to make her debut.
It’s fitting, then, that just after celebrating her 16th birthday, Lila Moss has officially been unveiled as the new face of Marc Jacobs Beauty.
Turning to Instagram over the weekend, team Jacobs released the first campaign image showcasing Moss as the new face of the iconic beauty line. In a look created by legendary industry icons, Katie Grand, Guido Palau, and Diane Kendal, Moss features a bright purple cat-eye, nude lips and flawless skin, and was photographed by none other than David Sims. If ever there was a room full of the world’s most influential, you’re looking at it.
The image has already had over two million likes and counting and in the space of 24-hours catapulted Miss Moss’ highly anticipated debut into icon-like status. Lila is already signed to her mother’s eponymously-named talent agency and, given her mother's iconic status as the UK's most famous, most successful supermodel to date, expect huge things from the Moss clan.
Watch your backs Kendall J et al, the supers 2:0 are coming, and they’re taking back the runway crown…
