Mudbrick Is Taking Over Augustus Bistro And We Can't Wait

We can't believe that it has already been two years since the iconic Ponsonby Post Office was decked out into a fancy, French, fine-dining restaurant. Augustus Bistro provided top quality eats and stellar service over their time but the New Zealand Herald recently reported that the restaurant was put into liquidation. All good things come to an end… but do they really? This is just the start for Augustus Bistro as Robyn and Nick Jones from Mudbrick Vineyard and Restaurant are taking it over!

Mudbrick Vineyard and Restaurant has become a top destination spot for anyone living or visiting Waiheke Island. From their stunning ambience, impressive wine list and drool-worthy food it's a total dream. Robyn and Nick Jones are the masterminds behind not only Mudbrick but also an award-winning restaurant, Archive Bar & Bistro. The Waiheke power duo is taking on Auckland for the first time with Augustus Bistro so we know this is something to look forward to.

Head chef of Archive Bar & Bistro, Logan Coath will be working his culinary magic for the return of Augustus so we know to expect top-notch food.

Nick and Robyn are set on preserving the gorgeous ambience of the beautiful space.

They want Augustus to be “full of friends and family, locals and overseas guests," they say.  "A place people can come for a great casual experience and be served top quality food and drinks.”

Best wishes for the future ahead Augustus—we could not be more excited to for this new chapter!
