If you’re anything like us, you’ve already binged the entire series of Normal People—three times over.

The epic TVNZ On Demand series follows the lives of Marianne and Connell as they thread in and out of each other’s lives, sometimes positively, and sometimes not. The show, which is an adaptation of Sally Rooney’s 2018 novel by the same name, delves into the complexities around relationships, friendships and love.

Normal People also gained a cult following off the back of its realistic and revolutionary portrayal of sex whereby the show embraced its awkwardness, showed consent and yep, featured a nine-minute sex scene too (if you know, you know) which was later broken down by the series’ intimacy coach and kind of made us love the show even more.

Since then, the world has been following Paul Mescal (Connell) and Daisy Edgar-Jones (Marianne) very closely and yep, some epic news has just emerged. The two will reprise their roles in two special episodes which will be set 40 years on from where the show left off.

That’s all we know for now (other than these new episodes will be shot in conjunction with UK charity Comic Relief Ireland and that there will be a guest star in it) but stay tuned for where you can expect to watch it.

For now, here are all the best shows to watch on TVNZ On Demand.
