Mitchell Vincent, Erik-Yvan, AO
What Went Down:
The new kids are in town, New Generation, is always an exciting show to watch with editors, and buyers looking for the next big thing. This New Generation show presented three designers, all with varying aesthetics.
Mitchell Vincent: A strong street wear brand, this is the designer version of 90s skate trends.
Erik-Yuan: A mixture of oversized items, floaty pants, VERY bold accessories, and a signature print of the collection.
AO: We don’t like to pick favourites, but if we had to it’d definitely be AO. The clean-cut collection had classic colours with plenty of grey marle (an obvious winner), and took us back to childhood with slides and visors. Need we say more?
What we wore:
Karen Walker shirt, Georgia Alice dress, Deadly Ponies handbag, Chuck Taylors.
Can street wear be cool again? Apparently Mitchell Vincent is trying to do so, and it’s looks bloody great on the models. Ahhh I don’t mind watching shows all day when it involves beautiful male specimen. Socks and slides? Wow, I never thought I’d see that again. Grey marle, yes please and thank you.
