Rocketfuel Coffee Roasters
Rocketfuel Coffee Roasters first came onto the scene as a drive-through coffee window in Nedlands. But, for students who liked a bit of a sleep in, an extra stop along the way to class in the morning seemed like too much work—so, the legends at Rocketfuel listened and expanded to UWA's Crawley campus! Speciality coffee roasters, Rocketfuel serve a variety of blends, as well as single origins coffee to the bleary-eyed students of Perth. For those that need some extra nutrients in their lives, they've also got some yummy smoothies and cold-pressed juices on offer, as well as tasty treats to fill up on.
Julio’s
In its past life Julio’s was known for its uber famous clientele, think Lady Gaga, U2 and Beyonce. Recently it has re-opened as part of the new Sage Hotel in West Perth and is now becoming known for its uber yummy food! The head chef Simone Ariano was previously at Samson’s Paddock and Nolita and will now be dishing up home-style Italian cuisine with a focus on locally sourced produce.
Kai Japanese
Southsiders listen up, Kai Ramen in Bull Creek is rocking some of the best miso ramen in Perth and if you haven't been there yet you need to reconsider your life choices. This place serves up some of the most delish Jap food that isn't too harsh on the old wallet either. The interior isn't too complex, but once you've got a plate of chicken karage or prawn tempura in front of you that will be the last thing on your mind.
Flourish Specialty Coffee + Juice
Flourish Specialty Coffee + Juice is one of Perth's little hidden gems. Located within Floreat Forum, this place packs a punch when it comes to only using the freshest produce and amazing coffee beans. Their menu is packed with smoothies and juices for any mood, as well as multiple bean blends for the perfect coffee brew. The interior is cosy and the staff are beyond awesome... Make sure you check them out!
JBento
JBento in Mount Pleasant is known for its amazing bento boxes and unique flavours, but what we really can't get enough of is the homemade teriyaki sauce, the potato salad and their crazy desserts. You'll only get the very best ingredients here so order anything and everything, you won't regret it.
Davvero Caffe e Cucina
Davvero is a gorgeous little Italian cafe and restaurant in Floreat that boasts a sleek, chic, white and grey industrial yet homey feel. They're like one big family down there, and a family that knows how to cook! From deep fried, warm Italian doughnuts that are stuffed with Nutella (OMG), to a delectable dinner menu featuring amazing pastas and risottos. Davvero will definitely have something to impress everyone at the table and you need to put this one on your list right now.
RoyAl’s Chicken & Burgers
RoyAl's Chicken & Burgers in East Victoria Park is the number one place to go for them burgerrzzzz. They are serving up some of the best American style burgers, wings, and hip hop beatz, and the best news? They do all-you-can-eat wings on Wednesday nights for only $15. If wings aren't your jam, how about some pulled pork gringo fries and the King of Crowns burger followed by some pecan pie?
iPho
iPho is an amazing Vietnamese joint in Fremantle that totally rocks the Pho. Their dishes are packed full of flavour and they only use the freshest ingredients which explains why it is sahhhh good! The red and black decor makes you feel a little exotic and once the food comes out, you're in paradise.
Mary Street Bakery | West Leederville
Excitement was at an all high time when we first heard Mary Street Bakery would be opening up in West Leederville back in 2015, Unsurprisingly, this cafe and bakery cemented itself as a firm favourite among the West Leedy locals in no time at all. If you're after a leisurely morning head here for brekky, but if you're in a rush drop in for a coffee and #allofthedoughnuts!
Hikaru Ramen
Hikaru Ramen have so many variations of ramen that you could go every single day and never get sick of ramen! Take your pick from four different broths and then decide if you want pork, chicken, beef or even prawn. These guys also do dry ramen if you’re not into soup (apparently that’s a thing?).
No Lights No Lycra | Fremantle
No Lights No Lycra in Fremantle is THE place to go to truly dance like no one is watching—because it's pitch black and no one is watching! Every Tuesday night at the Fremantle Lawn Tennis Club you can put on your dancing shoes and dance the night away—alcohol free and judgment free. While it might take a song or two to get into it the first couple of times you go, by the end of the party you'll be counting down the days until the next week!
Garden Cafe On Guildford
Garden Cafe On Guildford has to be Maylands' best kept secret. This unassuming corner cafe dishes up some of the tastiest breakfasts, juices, lunch goodies and sweet treats in a super cosy and cool setting. We are massive fans of the smashed pumpkin bruschetta with danish feta and a fried egg, as well as the apricot and coconut muesli with toasted macadamia, yoghurt and poached fruit. As for the juices, the turmeric nourish and lemon ginger tonic are among some of the best juices we've tasted in Perth. Bonus: if you work in the area and want to save time on your lunch break you can text your order through!

This is no ordinary nail salon folks, Palette Nails in Subiaco is next level amazing. When you walk into the salon you'll be blown away by the decor—think polished concrete, pretty pastels and a heck load of natural light. Offering all the regular nail treatments but specialising in the most beautifully designed manicures, you'll walk away with the best nails of your life. Make an appointment asap, the team here books up months in advance.
Dr Clause
Offering some of the best coffee in town (from micrology coffee roasters) and some killer breakfast and lunch options, Dr Clause sure knows how to caffeinate and feed the people of Claisebrook. Only 400 meters from the train station, it's the perfect spot to grab a coffee and a freshly baked scone or muffin to go. If you're lucky enough to have a few spare minutes up your sleeve, it's definitely worth grabbing a table and enjoying dishes like the trudeau-brioche french toast with bacon, ricotta, chilli maple and sesame praline—hellloooooo!
Tom’s Italian
Modern Italian restaurant Tom's Italian (what used to be the Soda Sunlounge) is the perfect spot for post-swim pizza and Peronis. Looking over the gorgeous views of Tom's surf break, we can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday sesh. Offering a large range of fancy pizza, pasta, gnocchi and everything else Italian (bring on the cheese and cold meats) you will be sure to leave satisfied, especially if you top it off with the gelato of the day. With a decent drinks menu including smoothies, juices and a fair few cocktails, plus all your fave beer, wines and ciders, you can't go wrong.
Shortlist Oxford St
The old D’Avenue, Shortlist Oxford St is located on Oxford St (duh) in Leedy. With crazy good coffee (of course) and a drool-worthy menu—smashed avo on Mr Drummond’s homemade crumpets anyone?—the list of breakfast and lunch items is anything but short. Think veggie and homemade hummus stuffed bagels, pulled pork omelettes and acai bowls, plus plenty of baked goodies. We have a feeling you and your mates will be spending a bit of time here.
Affogato Gelateria
Affogato in Mount Hawthorn is delivering some tip top homemade gelato. There's a flavour for everyone including vegan salted caramel (huzzuh!) and they also do epic ice-cream sandwiches in brioche buns! Yummo! Step your gelato up a notch by making the most of the dripping chocolate tap and thank us later. These guys also do a pretty rad coffee if you need a pick-me-up.
Stand’In Room
Stand'In Room in Claremont is—as the name suggests—super tiny, but it's also super cute. Sitting pretty on Bayview Terrace, these guys are dishing out great (and reasonably priced) coffee, cold pressed juice, bliss balls and some beautiful flowers and succulents so you can pick up a treat for yourself while you get your morning coffee.
Stackwood
Stackwood is located in the old diesel warehouse in Fremantle, and we couldn't love it more if we tried. Part creative studio, part event space and part concept store, this is one place you need to pop into if you're looking for local wares or indoor plants. The team here also run various workshops, encouraging locals to come together and learn new skills like cooking, knitting, painting and more.
Little Leaf Co
The gals at Little Leaf Co have got an eye for interior styling and they’ll have your place looking lush in a matter of minutes if you give them half a chance. These guys also sell the beautiful Pop & Scott pots as well as plant stands and chalk paint in case you feel like getting creative. The trip to the plant packed warehouse in Booragoon is most definitely worth it.
Edition
Edition in Swanbourne is in the space that was once the Bookcaffe and they are serving up more than just your standard breakfast. Try the blue swimmer crab omelette, the herbed and crumbed poached eggs or, if you're after a healthy kick start to the day, you won't be able to resist their balance bowl which is jam packed with kale, spinach, pumpkin, poached eggs, nuts and seeds, chimichurri, black rice and more. Come lunch time, they have plenty of salads, jaffles and pulled beef deliciousness to go around. Sit down and enjoy the laid back atmosphere and remember to grab a bunch of flowers on your way out.
Rajah’s Curry
If you’re into curry you’re going to want to check out Rajah’s Curry stat. These guys have popped up in East Victoria Park straight from Singapore so you know this is the real deal. The winning dish is the fish head curry, call ahead and pre-order it if you don’t want to be disappointed!

For some of the coolest clothes kicking about, head to The Bronze Snake Shop in Northbridge. Originally hailing from Melbourne, this awesome little shop stocks wares for stylish guys and gals, as well as bags, sunglasses and other accessories. Located on William Street, the guys at The Bronze Snake shop are super friendly and their prices are wallet friendly too—so you can buy more!
Kinky Lizard Espresso Bar
Kinky Lizard Espresso Bar is a classic Perth cafe situated right on the river in picturesque East Perth. The team here whip up waffles with strawberries, banana, hokey pokey ice cream, nutella, candied peanuts and a crunchie... ummmm wow. If that isn't enough to get you down there right now then we dont know what is! Grab a coffee and a delicious brekky or lunch and watch the world go by.
Gusto Gelato | Elizabeth Quay
Gusto Gelato prides itself on making oh-my-god-I’ve-died-and-gone-to-heaven, life-changing, exquisite, fresh gelato every day and Perth ice-cream lovers are lapping it up. Making everything from scratch using the freshest ingredients, the man behind this amazing hot spot, Sean Lee, learnt his craft in Italy and has amassed a huge fan base for his delicious and authentic gelato.
Movement Co
The Movement Co in Osborne Park is all about pushing boundaries and re-discovering the different ways in which your body can move. The guys here offer classes in strength and conditioning, parkour, calisthenics, gymnastics and climbing—you can do just one or a combination of all five. The programs are suitable for any person of any age and they are so much fun. This place is definitely one of the funnest Perth gyms around!

Billie H
Billie H has taken over the space that used to be Asado in Claremont and it's kicking goals, left, right and centre—which isn't surprising considering owner Daniel Goodsell has previously been behind some of our fave Perth eateries including Duende, Il Lido and Bread In Common. The wine list is phenomenal and it's the perfect spot to park yourself if you're after a drink or two, and the food doesn't disappoint either. Think oysters, caviar and octopus to start, or if you're after something a little more hearty you'll want to check out the honey glazed pork loin or the kangaroo. Perfect for a catch up with friends or for date night, make sure you add this one to the list.
The ‘Pear’fect Pantry
You’ll find loads of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free goodness at the ‘Pear’fect Pantry in Wembley. They serve all your regular breakfast staples (yes, meat lovers, you can get bacon here too) as well as things like Boston baked eggs, sweet potato fritters and pumpkin bread. The vegan pancakes and Oreo shake are what we would call breakfast ‘pear’fection.

Forget about women only spas...you can bring the whole family to Ooh La La Salon and Spa in Claremont! Not only do the crew here provide some of the cutest children’s pamper parties we've ever seen, Mum and Dad can go their separate ways and enjoy their own haircuts, massages, manicures and pedicures while the kids are kept occupied. How good does that sound?

What do you get when you combine a love of motorcycles with a coffee shop? Spadille Garage in West Perth! A multi-purpose space, Spadille serve coffee, bagels, sandwiches and other light snacks. The space also encompasses a store selling moto-fashion and accessories and men’s grooming products, a communal garage and event space. It’s really just the ultimate man-cave.

The Beauty Studio is conveniently located in the heart of Shenton Park and offers up the most extensive range of waxing, make up, massage, IPL, reflexology, spa treatments and even some deluxe packages for all you guys and gals out there. The studio is so relaxing (and smells bloody amazing) and the team here will leave you feeling like a whole new person.
Tenkadori
This tiny little Japanese place in Subiaco dishes up some good authentic Japanese bites. Tenkadori specialises in yakitori, which simply means grilled food on skewers (ummm delish). They also take care of everything else like ramen and yummy rankon chips. This is the perfect spot for a good lunch or an easy dinner when you don't want to cook.
Mister Finch
Mister Finch is one of the cutest and quirkiest cafes in Perth with a pretty epic menu to boot. Serving up light brekkies (or something a little heavier) as well as amazing lunches, top it off with one of their specialty smoothies or cakes and call it a day.
Satay On Charcoal | Victoria Park
An all time winner at the Twilight Hawkers Markets, Satay on Charcoal in Victoria Park is bigger and better than their original South Perth restaurant in our humble opinion. It’s got all of your old favourites plus plenty of new dishes to try and its BYO so you can bring a bottle to enjoy over dinner!
Richie’s Bar Pizza
Richies Bar Pizza has landed in South Fremantle and answered the prayers of south-side pizza fanatics. Serving tasty woodfired pizza made with original Napolitan dough, Richie’s pizzas are delicious. We like the Carnivore—a tomato base, mozzarella, bacon, cacciatore and chicken—and the Vege (with bacon of course). Richie’s also serve bar food, salads, house made pasta and desserts (Nutella pizza, OMG). They’ve got a full bevvies list and they also offer delivery to residents nearby—winning!
Haynes Street Larder
Keeping the hills folk healthy, caffeinated and satiated, Haynes Street Larder is a very welcome addition to the Kalamunda Haynes Street strip. Serving delicious salads, light and fluffy muffins, healthy treats and coffee of course. Grab a few take-away goodies, find a patch of grass in the nearby Stirk Park and enjoy a little slice of hills life!
Satay On Charcoal | South Perth
An all time winner at the Twilight Hawkers Markets, Satay on Charcoal started in South Perth (the glorious original) and has now expanded to Victoria Park.... It's that good. It’s got a small but varied menu and everything is gosh darn delicious, just don't leave without trying the satay (duh!).
Stacked Cafe
Stacked Cafe in Fremantle has got everything you need to keep your belly full and your coffee addiction at bay. With coffee, baguettes, muffins, doughnuts, overnight oats and everything in between, it's the perfect spot to grab breakfast or lunch on the run. Sitting pretty in a light-filled warehouse in Freo, you'll be hoping the crew here aren't too quick with your order so you've got time to soak up the incredible atmosphere.
Humblebee Coffee Roasters
Humblebee Coffee Roasters in Mount Hawthorn is the bees knees. They take their coffee seriously, roasting it in-house to make sure you get the freshest brew going around and only offering two sizes with milk so that the ratio of milk to coffee is perfect with a capital P! There ain't no decaf or fancy milks here, just good old fashioned coffee. You can also buy your beans here (freshly roasted of course) and why not grab a bombolini while you're there!

Serving up breakfast, lunch, coffee and sweet treats seven days a week, Daisies Cottesloe is one of our favourite spots to grab a fresh and healthy lunch. They've got some delectable sandwiches, salads and yoghurt cups, as well as tasty Top Dup doughnuts and enough coffee to keep you buzzing. Grab a seat under the verrandah outside and relax in this little slice of suburban heaven.
Belle K Cronut Bar
Belle K Cronut Bar has heard your demands for more cronuts and they've opened a bar dedicated to them at the Fremantle Markets. With flavours like Nutella, salted caramel, honeycomb and chocolate, passionfruit curd and all sorts of other deliciousness, we think you'll be pretty happy. They also serve cronut burgers, cronut pizzas, breakfast cronuts and some yummo salads if you're looking for a healthy option (but let's be real, who is ordering a salad at a cronut bar?) They also do rolled ice cream if the cronuts alone aren't enough for you!

Shark Bites Toast in Victoria Park is just cray cray! From bubble tea, to coffee, burgers, fries and everything in between, the Asian fusion style restaurant really shows its quirky side with the anime decor and minimalistic Japanese furniture. We cant get enough of their cotton candy smoothies. Yeah, you heard us.

One of the trendiest skate shops around, Momentum Skate in Claremont has all your skater boy needs covered. Stocking all things skate, including limited edition boards, as well as hosting meet and greets with some of the industry legends, these guys have got you covered.

If you're looking for authentic Thai flavours, Lemongrass Thai Restaurant is the place for you. Since 2008, the crew here have been dishing out delicious Thai eats and Claremont locals can't get enough. Eat in or takeaway, these guys have your Thai cravings covered.

The Hummus Club
The Hummus Club has long paid homage to the dip of all dips at their popular restaurant in the heart of Northbridge. Welcoming diners with a giant "In Hummus We Trust" neon sign, the breezy indoor-outdoor space on William Street has seen its fair share of hummus fiends since opening some seven years ago. But sadly, the Club will be serving its last plates on the 28th of February 2021.
Acai Brothers
We love acai and Acai Brothers in Fremantle certainly knows how to serve up a mean bowl. With flavours like raw Nutella, ain’t nothin’ butter (peanut butter of course) and the popeye which is full of spinach and all sorts of superfoods, you can enjoy these bowls at any time of day (and be left feeling super healthy too.) David Thompson’s Thai street food restaurant, Long Chim, marks Thompson’s return to Australia after 14 years overseas. Located in the vaulted cellar beneath the State Buildings in the heart of Perth’s CBD, street art by renowned Thai artists Alex Face, Diamond One and Gong adorn the walls while on the menu, delicious Thai eats like cumin and turmeric beef skewers, garlic and pepper squid, roast duck with pickled ginger and crunchy pork with Chinese broccoli will have you salivating. Wash everything down with a few Thai-inspired cocktails and you’ll be in foodie heaven.

Imagine a pulled pork burger, except replace the bun with a waffle—that’s the kind of greatness you can expect from the good guys at Batter Up Waffle Club. Mister Walker
Dining on the edge of a jetty, over-looking the amazing view that is the Perth city skyline—that is Mister Walker, one of the best South Perth Restaurants. With a slight focus on fresh seafood among other delightful goodies, the menu is a perfect blend and balance of flavours. The decor is classy and modern, but who really cares about the decor when you have such a killer view? Make sure you add this place to your list of date night restaurants, it's a real winner!
Kazoomies Feel Good Food
Fremantle restaurant Kazoomies is dishing up Northern African and Spanish food at its absolute best! The breakfast, lunch and dinner menu are incredible and you’ll want to go back about eight times to try everything. But ain’t no one got time for that so wear your loosest pants and order up big! Our top tip for brekky is Zaldeesh’s lamb red shakshuka.

Getting fit doesn't always have to be boring, especially not when it comes to Perth fitness group Happy Healthy Hoops. Yep, we're talking hula hoops, people. And whether you're a pro or haven't touched one since you were five years old, rest assured you'll be surrounded by an amazing community. Owner Bree Kirk-Bernnand runs her hoop classes online and all around Perth, including Scarborough, Perth CBD, Rivervale, Hyde Park and Brentwood, and we're told you can burn around 210 calories in a 30 minute session—there's never been a better time to get those hips moving!
