A favourite amongst the working crowd and many la abuelas, Encasa Deli is a fail-safe cafe in the CBD. The offerings are simple with the main drawcard being their Bocadillos (i.e. Spanish baguettes of deliciousness). With 10 varieties offered daily with a special thrown in here and there, there’s a filling for every appetite. The classic is their Pepito which combines eye fillet, a fried egg, cheese, lettuce, tomato and aioli between perfectly light and crusty bread.

Serving up the modern Indian and Sri Lankan cuisine that Sydney does not see enough of, Indu is home to some of the most vibrant and punchy flavours and colours we’ve ever come across. Home to pomegranate & roasted pistachio raita, all eyes are on food, glorious food by head chef Ramsay Protégé James Wallis in this industrially arty, sandstone heritage-listed restaurant. With its own satellite dosa kitchen where delectable lentil crepes are made, Indu is all about the theatre of food. We’d recommend their oxtail vada with caramelised onion puree and onion ash.

Using only the highest quality ingredients, the Italian gelato at Sydney ice cream shop, i-Creamy, is handcrafted daily by owner/gelato chef Ben (who trained with gelato king Nick Palumbo of Messina at Carpigniani Gelato University). They create 24 flavours daily and have 96 on rotation including white chocolate miso, Thai milk tea and black sesame as well as a variations of chocolate. We’re looking at you Tim Tam gelato!
