Mad for meat? If ‘HECK YES!’ just popped into your mind, we’ve got some down-right exciting news for you. For the second year, an epic meat-centric event is touching down in Auckland and we’ve got aaall the deets.
Meatstock is a two-day music and barbecue festival that started in Sydney but is spreading its basted barbecued wings to Auckland in February 2018. Held at the ASB Showgrounds over the weekend of the 24th-25th February, the protein-filled event promises to serve up the best of the best bands and barbecues, beards and barbers, butchers, bourbon and beer.
You’ll get a chance to witness the intense barbecue, butcher and barber wars, which will see the city’s best take the crown, as well as learn the meaty tricks of the trade in demonstrations and workshops.
If eating barbecue rather than making it is more your thing, a tribe of barbecue-inspired food trucks will be there to keep your belly full and happy. And, since Meatstock is set to take place at the height of summer, they’ve recruited some of New Zealand’s top craft brewers to help you hydrate.
Sound pretty damn awesome? Thought so.
Tickets will be dropped later in the year but in the meantime, get counting down to this summer’s biggest and best barbecue festy.
