It’s been a long 15 years since Takashi Shimizu messed us up for life with 92 minutes of pure horror and now, The Grudge is back.
This time around, you can expect a twisted new version of The Grudge tale you already know which means more abandoned haunted houses, more death rattles (yep, that eerie paranormal sound The Grudge makes), more horrifying shower scenes and more unbreakable curses.
Produced by Sam Raimi (who brought us Don’t Breathe and Evil Dead read: expect never to sleep again), the premise for this one sees a detective, played by Andrea Riseborough, investigate a house where a terrible murder occurred. What she doesn’t know is that once you enter the house, the Grudge follows, and it invades her own home where she lives with her son.
If you’re brave enough, scope the trailer below but warning, it’s pure horror hell.
The Grudge is slated to land in cinemas January 4, 2020.
