Captivated audience transfixed on the screen in a movie theatre.

Amidst the pause button being hit on basically every cultural event across the world, we’ve seen organisations adapt to bring the people what they want, and that’s exactly what a swag of major film festivals have done to bring you We Are One: A Global Film Festival.

Our very own Sydney Film Festival is joining heavyweights like the Berlin International Film Festival, BFI London Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival to curate a line-up of epic proportions which will be streamed over 10 days beginning on Friday 29 May, for free.

The festival is by backed several household names in the content space, including YouTube, which is where you can catch an expectedly stacked program of films, shorts, documentaries, music, comedy, and conversations.

Tribeca Enterprises—the organisation behind the acclaimed Tribeca Film Festival—is also on board with YouTube in making We Are One happen. Tribeca, which was founded in 2003 by Robert De Niro as a platform to showcase quality storytelling, independent film and media, has premiered some incredible flicks over the years, so we can assume a similar calibre on show when 29 May comes around.

Details on the lineup are still murky, but you can keep an eye out for the full release over at the Sydney Film Festival.

In the meantime, catch a film you haven’t seen before on six of the best streaming services.
