Cafes

Blossum

After making waves at the Mount Claremont Farmer's Markets, Blossum opened its own shop in Bicton and the locals can't get enough. Pop in and grab one of their delicious salads or a slice of cake and try to resist buying all the sauces and spreads that line the walls. You can also grab a loaf of bread or a bunch of flowers, so why not treat yourself to both? These guys are also master caterers—they do everything from homemade meals and breakfasts to dessert tables, grazing tables and custom cakes.

Bars & Pubs

Dogtown Beerfood

While Dogtown doesn't necessarily sound like the most appealing spot for a bite to eat, Dogtown Beerfood in Mount Lawley dishes out epic burgers and brews from WA's own Feral Brewery. They also do fried chicken and tacos—beer food at its very best.

Bars & Pubs

77 Social

It's no secret that everyone in Perth loves a rooftop bar, so you'll want to check out 77 Social ASAP. Sitting pretty on St Georges Terrace, 77 Social offers some sweet views of the terrace, but you'll probably be sidetracked by the super cute interiors downstairs tbh. Open from 6am weekdays, there are milkbar vibes with lots of neon pink and plenty of coffee to caffeinate the people of Perth, not to mention some delish breakfasts. But once the afternoon hits, you'll want to head upstairs to sit on the rooftop with a cocktail in hand, and maybe a burger too.

Cafes

Psychomug

Pyschomug in Subiaco is brewing up some seriously Insta-worthy coffee, and it's actually pretty delicious too. Their charcoal killer latte is black and served in a skull-shaped glass—word on the street is that charcoal is a natural detoxifier, but let's be honest, we're just ordering it for the novelty factor. They also have coffee in a cone in case you're yet to give that a whirl. The team at Psychomug dish up some impressive breakfasts and their regular coffees hit the spot every time—so not to worry if you can't bring yourself to order a charcoal latte.

Restaurants

La Vida Urbana

From the legends that brought us El Publico, La Vida Urbana brings tasty Mexican eats with a slightly more casual vibe to Leederville. Open every night until late, you're in for a whole lot of scrumptious street eats. Our hot tip: order the nachos. But the best bit? You're welcome to just drop in for a drink anytime. Margarita anyone? The Feed Me menu has to be one of the most affordable in Perth. At $39 you'll get four courses of the most popular dishes, including dessert. It's a no brainer.

Restaurants

Little Way

A welcome addition to the Nedlands dining scene, Little Way is the perfect place to drop in for a coffee, wine or a bite at any time of the day. Tamarind Cambodian Asian Cuisine

There’s not a lot of Cambodian cuisine going around in Perth, which is why we’re SO happy Tamarind popped up in Mount Hawthorn. Grab some roti with peanut sauce while you peruse the lengthy menu.

Cafes

Mokaffe

Mount Hawthorn's Mokaffe has taken hold of our hearts and taste buds. Small batch coffee roasters and craft chocolatiers, this Italian cafe makes everything in house with only the best ingredients. Choosing between their spiced hot chocolate with chilli and cinnamon and their 72 percent couverture hazelnut mokacino (pretty much Nutella coffee) is a very difficult task, as is making a selection from their delectable cake display. We love their custard filo in soufra and the dark chocolate espresso fudge, and you simply cannot leave without picking up a bar of their hazelnut chocolate torrone (a traditional Italian Christmas delicacy, available year-round) and some of their cioccalatini truffles.

A quiet achiever, Zephyr in North Beach is an oldie but a goodie. The chef and owner is third generation Croatian and his specialities are Mediterranean dishes with plenty of care and attention to each recipe, all made with locally sourced produce. The menu is impressive and choosing just one dish is not an easy task, but the beef cheeks in filo pastry and the pork belly with crispy crackling and seared scallops are a good place to start. The team here is also big on fermented veg, making it in house and adding it to a lot of their meals, you can also buy a jar to take home and add to your dishes.
