5 Brilliant Things To Do In Perth This Week

By Bella Ramdhanie - 19 Feb 2018

Perthlings—listen up! This week is packed with things for you to do and thus, we’ve deemed it entirely impossible for you to get the February blues. We sympathise, we're still tired from all the summer shenanigans too. But nevertheless, we say shake off those blues… because Perth isn’t slowing down!

Theatre enthusiasts get ready to mark your calendars because this week is gonna be a cracker. Here are five brilliant things to do in Perth this week.

Tuesday 20 February

OPENING NIGHT OF COMMA SUTRA AT THE MAJ

After a nomination for Best Cabaret at Perth Fringe 2017,  Comma Sutra is back by popular demand. Presented by the hilarious and clever Louisa Fitzhardinge, Comma Sutra is an ode to Louisa's grammar nerd ways and her frustration at people misusing the word literally. A word of warning—you'll spend the next few days googling grammar rules and you won't be able to get her catchy tunes out of your head.

OPENING NIGHT OF GIRLS GONE ROCKIN’ AT THE MAJ

The Maj is going off this week! Make a night of it and join Darlene and Wendy at Girls Gone Rockin’ and do your Tuesday right this week! Performing hits from the queens of rock’n’roll and country, this show will have you groovin’ in no time! Waiting for the weekend is overrated, put your party pants on and make this Tuesday unforgettable.

Wednesday 21

5 LESBIANS EATING A QUICHE AT HENRY SUMMER

Presented by Grey Lantern Productions, find yourself transported to 1956 and watch 5 Lesbians Eating A Quiche at our new fave Perth bar, Henry Summer. The story follows a group of ladies having their annual quiche breakfast when Russia drops a nuke. Comedy and cleverness alike, this interactive performance is not to be missed.

NORTHBRIDGE CRIME WALK

As a part of Perth fest, you've got the opportunity to join David Whish-Wilson for a walk on the dark side. The Northbridge crime walk includes a guide to some of Northbridge’s most notorious crime scenes, so if you're into that kind of thing, get online to reserve a spot, this one is set to bring in big crowds! Note: bring support person for hand-holding and courage-building needs.

Thursday 22

REUBEN KAYE AT THE ICE CREAM FACTORY

For one unforgettable night only, the obscenely funny cabaret superstar, Reuben Kaye is putting on the show of a lifetime. If you already know him as the host of Club Swizzle, you're sure to agree this superstar deserves his own show. The Reuben Kaye experience is intelligent and side-splittingly funny so get yourself tickets ASAP. You can thank us later.
