Another week, another bunch of awesome things to do on the Sunshine Coast.
From a new outdoor gym opening on the Coast (read: you’re going to wanna check it out); to a BBQ, beer and golf get-together; and an epic latte art competition at one of our fave coffee roasters, March is shaping up to be a goodie.
Holes ‘N’ Hops | Wednesday, March 15
Black Bunny Kitchen are at it again, pulling together another brews and chews event. Holes ‘N’ Hops will kick off at BBK with a low and slow BBQ lunch, beers, followed by an afternoon of hitting balls and more beers. Sound like your kinda thang? You might need to chuck a half-day sickie to make the 11am start.
St Patrick’s Day | Friday, March 17
The day we wear lots of green, speak in a fake Irish accent, and guzzle way too many pints of Guinness is finally here. So, it only seems right that we give you guys the low down on where to eat, drink, and be merry this St Patrick’s Day. Try an Irish pub like O’Malleys or Sogo Bar, otherwise the folks at The Post Office are hosting a St Patty’s party just for you. Oh and how convenient that it lands on a Friday this year. More drinks, please!
Padre Latte Art Comp + 1st Birthday Bash | Saturday, March 18
How does a coffee roaster celebrate their first birthday since moving to Noosa? Throw a latte art competition, of course. Yep, Padre is hosting an epic and caffeinated shindig, and you’re invited. There’ll be food, drinks, and coffee (duh!) on offer, plus awesome prizes await those seriously skillful baristas who take out 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Entry to the comp is 10 bucks, but don’t worry, you’ll easily reap that back with good times. All the fun kicks off at 7pm—so be there.
Test Yourself At The Base Gym Open Day | Sunday, March 19
Fitness fanatics, listen up! Because if you haven’t heard about this new outdoor gym on the Sunshine Coast, we need to get you up-to-date. The Base Gym is a functional fitness centre—which we’ve translated as a home to super freakin’ hard workouts. There are massive cargo nets, tyres, a climbing wall—basically all those things that sound fun. From a distance. But, for health nuts who get off on drowning in 1,253 litres of sweat, you should defs go along to opening day. Held from 11am till dusk, there’ll be team challenges plus a fire pit and live music as the sun goes down. Families are welcome!
Flower Crown Workshop | Sunday, March 19
If you didn’t already know—but we’re sure you totally do—us Sunshine Coast women love a good flower crown. Lucky for us and our floral obsession, The Posy Co. is hosting a flower crown workshop this week at the new and very cute Henry & Co. in Landsborough. You’ll learn how to make your own blossoming headpiece, all while gasbagging, devouring cake, and sipping on coffee. Bliss!
