Easter is juuuuust around the corner. And if the hot cross buns and chocolate eggs filling every darn supermarket aren’t enough to sway March into your good books, the upcoming long weekend is.

For our hospo friends, that means it’s crazy time. But for everybody else, you might be looking for a sneaky getaway. A jaunt to somewhere that doesn’t involve jumping on the Bruce, and hanging in bumper to bumper traffic. The answer? A staycation on the Coast at some cool, quirky, or beautiful digs.

We’re saving you the trouble of scrollin’ through pages of “only available for two of the three nights you requested,” listings by rounding up a bunch of Sunshine Coast stays that are still available for the Easter long weekend. How long will they be around for? We have no freakin’ clue, but we’re guessing they’re on their way to being snapped up. So you’d better get in quick.

Peppers Three-bedroom Penthouse | Noosa

Long weekends were made for hanging with your best mates at a three-bedroom penthouse in Noosa. It might not be the cheapest way to catch up, but when you’ve got a super sleek apartment at Peppers with ocean views, it’s sure gonna memorable. Between pool dips, vinos on the deck at sunset, and big cook-ups in the huge open kitchen, we reckon you’ll end up saving money, because you won’t want to leave your hilltop perch the whole time you’re there. Seriously one of the best resorts in Noosa, and it’s still got availability. Cue the confetti!

Go Glamping With Pitch | Anywhere on the Coast

Fact: it’s possible to love camping, and also despise the whole setup and pack down shebang. Trust us, we know. It may even be the reason you haven’t pitched a tent in forever. If that’s the case, you’re going to hit us with a bunch of heart-eye emojis when we tell you that Pitch Luxury Camping supply and set up gorgeous bell tents stocked with everything you need at the Sunny Coast campground of your choice. Say whaaat?! Yep, and the best part? They still have tents available for the Easter long weekend. For now. Need some camping site inspo? We’ve covered the best camping spots.

Three Three | Yaroomba

Alright, so this one is a bit tricky because you’ll probably need to book a whole seven days, which is SUCH a drag. I mean, who’d want to stay seven days at a stunning beach house a few hundred metres from the beach. Definitely not us. We don’t care if every corner of it is Insta-worthy, or that there’s a deck big enough for both a low-key barbecue and a dance party to take place AT THE SAME TIME. Have we scared you off yet? Hope so, ‘cause we totally wanna bag Three Three for ourselves.

Eumundi Dairy Retreat | Eumundi

Mix it up and get off the Coast, and into the hinterland with a stay at Eumundi Dairy Retreat. Still close enough to the beaches to keep any surfers in the house happy, this quaint homestead, complete with wrap-around verandahs, will feel like a world away from your Monday to Friday life. To hell with the seachange, you’ll be all about the farmchange, after you slow it right down and experience the country life. Sleeping six, you can bring your whole family. Or just the faves. Wink.

Montague’s of Montville | Montville

If shiny, pristine, methodical accommodation grosses you out, we suggest you go down the bush cabin path. Lucky for you, Montague’s of Montville still appears to have a Deluxe Cottage. Use it as a base and spend your weekend exploring the hinterland towns and rainforest. (And *cough, wineries.)

Rumba | Caloundra

Who wouldn’t love waking up in a beachfront pad at Rumba? No-one, that’s who! We’re still shocked that one of the best resorts in Caloundra still has rooms up for grabs, but we’re hardly complaining. When the beach quota has been reached, spa baths, two outdoor pools, and some of our fave Caloundra restaurants and bars are at the ready. Oh, and if you’re a bit of a foodie, there’s no going past our best breakfasts in Caloundra roundup.

Amytis Gardens Retreat | Buderim

Because, sometimes, only a chalet with a spa bath will do. Perfect for a quick couple’s getaway, this modest Buderim hideaway is the perfect midway point on the Coast. If you’re going to venture out that is. Book Amytis Gardens Retreat and we’ll have our fingers and toes crossed for you that it gets chilly enough to light the fire. ‘Cause that would totally help those romance vibes.

Noosa Hinterland House | Doonan

So you’ve got outta town visitors coming over the break, and there’s no way you’re all goin’ to cram into your one-bedroom apartment. Have a look at this hinterland home, will you. Surely, if everyone chipped in, you could put dibs on it. That pool. Those gardens. Them views.
