Cibaria Noosa, the newest venue from Sydney hospitality legends Alessandro and Anna Pavoni, has officially opened at Elysium Noosa Resort, and it’s serving up all the sun-soaked, social dining vibes we need on Hastings Street.

Arguably Australia’s favourite beer, Great Northern, has officially opened the doors to its very first flagship venue right here on the Sunshine Coast. 

From the arcade to the sunken fireplace, the highly anticipated Dakabin Hotel is opening this week.

Birtinya has scored a massive new brewery, but it’s not just any brewery—it’s from the Slipstream Brewing team who were named as ‘Queensland’s Best Brewery’ at the Royal Queensland Beer Awards in 2024.

The iconic 112-year-old Imperial Hotel in Eumundi is getting a fresh new face with an all-new strikingly elegant front bar, gaming room and TAB now open to the public. 

Bango Korean & Bar is the Sunshine Coast’s vibrant new Korean tapas bar, and to say it’s unlike anything the Sunshine Coast has seen before would be an understatement.

Everyone knows that the booziest nights start at the classiest establishments, and that is exactly what new cocktail bar on the block, Miyako Lounge, is . Conveniently located on the end of Ocean Street, Miyako is the fresh face of Drunken Dumpling and brings plenty of Asian-inspired cocktails to their menu, like their oh-so-boozy share teapots, as well as all your classics. Helloooo espresso martinis.

Nestled on two hectares in the scenic Noosa hinterland, The Doonan is a sprawling garden-themed venue boasting indoor and outdoor dining, multiple beer gardens, bars, a pizzeria, ice creamery, kids playground, cellar door and multiple function spaces. Yes, it’s huge. 

Mr. Drifter is your new Noosa Junction local and we’ll tell you why. With a space warm and cosy enough to be your new date night hot spot, yet cool and sleek enough for live music on a Saturday night, this Asian street food bar serves in all areas. The bar is built with rustic timber walls, exposed brick and is decked out with vintage postcards and Little Golden book-style menus. We love the modern twist on an slightly tiki-style theme. 

WAT Den is an elegant new destination whisky and tequila bar, located in the bustling heart of Mooloolaba Esplanade, unique to the Sunshine Coast with a signature cigar lounge theme. Intentionally a small bar seating 40 to 60 patrons, the high-end bar is headed up by a Melbourne husband and wife hospitality duo who are passionate about providing premium and hard-to-get whisky and tequila brands. 

The second venue from the much-loved Your Mates Brewing Co. crew, Your Mates BowlsPub is turning the notion of the traditional bowls club on its head and majorly leveling it up with cracking craft brews, barefoot bowls, lawn games, top-notch food and the lively entertainment that Your Mates is known for. This is not a bowlo as you know it. 

Just when we thought the Noosa bar scene couldn't get much better, a stunning European-style aperitif and wine bar opens up. Say hello to Apéro Wine Bar, an elegant Noosaville bar which pays homage to the European tradition of meeting friends for an aperitif with an extensive international wine list and bites menu. The sleek venue draws passerbys off the Noosa River boardwalk into a richly decorated space with earthy tones of desert red and eucalyptus green.

The Nautical is a new venue that focuses on local and seasonal products and produce—dishes are sourced as locally as possible from nearby farms and fisheries and all their beers come from Sunshine Coast breweries, which means we’re big fans already. Even the cocktails feature locally-distilled spirits and the wine list features loads of Aussie wines you’ll want to sample ASAP.

If you were looking for somewhere to cosy up during the winter, we just found your new favourite spot. 

Shaded, elevated courtyard—tick. Cool, urban interior—tick. Local beers that taste even greater with housemade pizza—tick. There’s a lot to love about Noosa’s latest brewery, Boiling Pot Brewing Co.  

At any time of the day, we take peace knowing it’s gin-o’clock somewhere in the world. But since Pomona Distilling Co. opened, we’ve been wishing it was socially acceptable to be drinking all the gin, all day long.

Tucked in Yandina, Bar Deco is a Belgian beer and wine garden, and is a welcome contradiction to the Sunshine Coast’s bright, light and beachy restaurant scene we’ve come to know and love. 

Tucked along Hastings Street, O-Ren is somewhat of a hidden gem among the best restaurants in Noosa. 

Fresh and tasty, with just the right amount of spice, welcome to Mr Drifter, a Noosa restaurant you might not know about yet. 

Sprouting in the rural landscape of North Arm (in between Yandina and Eumundi), Terella Brewing is the sustainable farm-style brewery you need to know about. 

Off the beaten track a little, you’ll find this mammoth watering hole in Birtinya—conveniently between Caloundra and Mooloolaba for the northern players out there. 

If you are after authentic German food and an amazing selection of beers, you need to head over to The Bavarian. A Sunshine Coast favourite, this is a great place to get together with a group of friends. 

Sitting pretty in Cotton Tree, if you haven’t visited Glass Coffee House and Wine Bar, it’s time to pick up your act. Super chilled vibes, a friendly crew and some of the best food you can poke your fork at, this has got to be one of the best cafes on the Sunshine Coast. 

Situated along Duporth Avenue in Maroochydore lies one of the Sunshine Coast's leading asian fusion restaurants, Corbins.

The Savvy Squire is what craft beer-drinking dreams are made of. With a waterfront location in the Mooloolaba Wharf Precinct, this new brewhouse is big, beautiful and worth clearing your weekend for a visit.

Incredible views, a stunning fitout with a retractable roof, cocktails that’ll have you ordering another on first sip, and a global menu that is packed with fresh flavours—welcome to the Sunshine Coast's first open-air rooftop bar. 

Appreciate your drop of vino poured with a backgrounder into its characteristics and origin? How about some friendly banter with the bartender and a sultry setting? Well then, set your GPS for Mooloolaba. 

This fancy brewery ticks every box for all occasions. Think boozy brunches with the girls, lunch sorted with the boys, or a classy night with your significant other. Boasting slick décor, an Italian menu, top-notch beer and an extended drinks list, say hello to your new favourite Sunshine Coast hangout, Glass House Brewery. 

The Captain’s Daughter is a two-in-one business, meshing a takeaway area that serves seafood to the masses, with a licensed bar and tapas-style eatery. And it’s awesome. 

The boys behind Your Mates Brewhouse have worked blood, sweat and beers to bring the good folks of the Sunshine Coast the perfect pint. It’s the new brain baby from your mates Hep and McGarry who are no strangers to the coastal beer scene. After closing their original taproom in Moffat Beach and their venue The Basement in Nambour, they turned their attention to opening a combined brewery, restaurant and bar in Warana. The result is the super-relaxed coastal cool brewery we’ve been waiting for.

The husband and wife dream team behind Spice Bar (one of our most loved spots on the Coast) have decided to spice (wink, wink) things up and open up a second venue on the Coast – a super sleek, sexy new bar. 

That’s right guys we’re getting a brand new jazz-style cocktail bar. Pretty swish if you ask us. 

When the mood strikes, nothing beats a monster meal at a cosy pub beside your fave humans, particularly on a chilly winters eve. So when we heard a new gastro pub had literally just opened we were thrilled to say the least. Bring on all the snuggly winter noms and then some we say! 

Sumi Open Kitchen is an epic new Japanese restaurant that has just opened its doors in the newly reinvigorated Noosa Junction. These guys are all about creating a unique and amazing dining experience where the noms aren't just made from the best quality produce, they're also freakin' delicious. 

Right on the world renowned Noosa Beach, Miss Moneypenny's is the cocktail bar of your dreams. Serving up a diverse range of international standard cocktails and Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Inspired Modern Australian dining, this place has the best of both worlds, a great location and even better food and drinks. Did we mention this is an award winning bar and restaurant? If that hasn't sold you, the amazing vibes and peeps who hang out here will. It's one of Noosa's hidden gems. You won't be disappointed after visiting Miss Moneypenny's. We're in love.

The stunningly refurbished M.V. Catalina is going to take your next event, party, hens night, celebration (this list is endless) to a WHOLE new level! Why you ask? Well, for starters, it's Noosa's only floating premium event space with unrivalled access to the pristine Noosa River, hell yeah!

Eddie Cheeba's is a sexy little bar hidden inside Noosa Junction. Their amazing wine selection, epic cocktail creations and good for the soul vibes are out of this world. Bring the gals, or your S/O and enjoy the amaze street food which is inspired from all over the world AND enjoy the amazing tunes for a great time. If you're looking for an uber-chill vibe, Eddie Cheeba's is where it's at. 

Holey Moley, the cult-like chip-and-putt that’s taken the country by storm is fiiiiiiiiiinally coming to the Sunshine Coast and we've never been more excited to grab a set of clubs.

If we were to make the call, we’d say Mexican and Asian noms are everyone's current obession at the moment on the Sunshine Coast. So we naturally went wild for... Wild Fish. Wild Fish is a Sunshine Beach restaurant that’s doing something a little different. Teaming up with the crew at one of the Coast’s best seafood suppliers, Soulfish, this newbie specialises in serving up the freshest and most sustainable wild caught seafood on the Sunshine Coast. Offering a full menu, a daily market list and a cheap-as-chips bar menu we’re totally peer-pressuring you to get in quick before those balmy weekends bring the crowds.

Calling all craft beer lovers! Sunshine Coast Craft Beer Tours is an amazing way to taste all that delicious yeasty goodness that we all know and love. From Caloundra to Mooloolaba, Maleny, Noosa and Pomona, these tours will take you to some of the BEST local craft breweries and bars on the Sunshine Coast. We'll take a pale ale pls. 

Super plush with all the trimmings, Rickys River Bar + Restaurant is a sleek waterfront establishment that will become the prime reason you and your stomach make the regular pilgrimage to Noosa (if you don’t already live here, that is). It’s a little bit fancy, so ditch the salt-stained denim cut-offs for a crinkle-free dress and whack on a bit of lippy, and you’re all set!

Part of The Wharf redevelopment, The Dock is one of the best restaurants and bars in Mooloolaba. Cleverly divided up into several areas, including function rooms, this Sunshine Coast establishment is home to three bars (we know, right?!) and 52 beer taps pouring 16 different brews.

If you don’t venture to Coolum Beach on the reg, you may not know about Canteen Kitchen & Bar, a stellar 2016 addition to the town’s restaurant line-up.

It's a match made in heaven, maybe even the perfect lifestyle to be found on the Coast. Now, if you say you enjoy craft beer and haven't yet experienced the bliss that is Land & Sea Brewery, then you need to check it out ASAP. Although craft beer can be a scientific process, they take a simple appoach; letting their creativity flow to allow for a unique experience. The fact this gem is located in Noosa just adds to the perfection of the place. We love the beachy aesthetic, smooth craft beer, epic noms and good for the soul vibes. It's possible that we've located paradise with this place.

A genius concept combining a love of custom motorbikes, great nosh and even better tipples, this hip Noosa cafe is part showroom, part café and bar. Open morning ‘til night, Moto is a welcoming space packed out on the daily with locals and tourists looking to indulge in cheap, unpretentious (and ridiculously tasty) meals, strong Clandestino coffee, and when the clock strikes “knock-off”, a range of thirst-quenching alcoholic beverages.

Part coffee shop, part skateboard store, part bar, it’s barely a stretch to say that Stoker in Maroochydore has it all going on.

Taking over a space in Cooran, about a 10-minute drive from Pomona, the new Bonsai Brewhouse is spacious and kitted out with plenty of tables, a huge bar and most importantly, loads of in-house beer. 

Opening its doors last month, Riviera Bar & Lounge is a newly refurbed bar within Sofitel Noosa. Fronting Noosa River, this is the only establishment along Hastings Street that grants you sunset views over the river and the opportunity to wave to the SUPers as they paddle on by. Fitted out to resemble a French Riviera feel (as you’ve probs gathered by the name), the star of this space is the covered deck complete with soft, neutral-coloured furnishings, along with candles, shells and the latest copies of all the mags you want to read. 

Somewhere between an inner-city jazz bookshop and an alleyway saloon in New Orleans, The Piano Bar is where you start your Maroochydore bar crawl. After all, everyone knows the wildest nights start as the classiest, and this place oozes sophistication. Conveniently sitting on Ocean Street, kick off the night with a martini (or three) and make it your mission to chow down on as many tapas as possible—their menu is humungous—just make sure you leave room for a cheeseboard at the end.  

Salty breezes, a sprawling deck, live music and some of the best eats on the Sunshine Coast, Peregian Beach Hotel is the laidback restaurant and bar you’ll want to make your local. A short stroll from the beach, sandy bodies are welcome around here and it’s this casual atmosphere that keeps us coming back for more. And then, there’s the food. Cue all of the heart-eye emojis we can muster. 

Just when you thought you’d tried all the breweries on the Sunshine Coast, another one pops up in a place you’d least expect—and trust us, it’s ahhhhmazing! *swoon*

Margarita on tap, authentic grilled fish tacos and giant Frida Kahlo murals are always a good idea, which is why we’re crushing on Noosa’s newest Mexican restaurant, Paradise Arcade.

Come one, come all—Good Bar is the casual, old-school hip hop-vibing joint where you gather all your mates for some boozing and noshing good times.

Spirit House is like a legend around the Sunshine Coast. It’s the restaurant that pops into mind when planning a super special occasion or for those times you need to impress the hell out of visitors. 

World-class dining on Hastings Street is up for the taking at Noosa Beach House by Peter Kuruvita!

When you need to escape the crowds, for another crowd, trudge up the hill from Hastings Street to the junction and down a coldy and a taco with the cool cats at Village Bicycle.

Got a weakness for seafood? Beeline to the banks of Noosa River where you’ll find the Noosa Boathouse Bistro and Bar.

For when you would like to leave the Sunshine Coast but can’t quite afford a private jet for the night, take your date to Orléans.

Exposed brick walls, communal bar tables, an impressive cocktail list and super ambient lighting will whisk you off your feet faster than you can say “table for two, please”.

Decked out in a nautical style, it’ll be impossible for even the most stressed out local NOT to feel on holiday as soon as they take a seat at El Capitano.

An upstairs gem found in Sunshine Beach, Embassy XO is an Asian-inspired restaurant and lounge bar that is super sleek yet casual enough to pop into for an afternoon work drink or three.

Is it too much to say these guys are the gurus of coffee making? Absolutely not.

So this place may remind some peeps of Mexico, and you wouldn’t be wrong.

Looking suave from a recent makeover, this Ocean Street lounge bar is where you can burn those cocktail-calories on the d-floor with a whole heap of disco, techno and house-lovers into the wee hours on a Friday and Saturday night.

In the bustling activity of a night on Ocean Street, Peak Wine Bar sits pretty like a piece of art you can’t help but be intrigued by.

Super plush with all the trimmings, Rickys is a sleek waterfront restaurant that will become the prime reason you and your stomach make the regular pilgrimage to Noosa (if you don’t already live here, that is).

This all-in-one American diner is still one of our fave spots on the Sunshine Coast. Whether you’ve actively hunted the place down or struck gold when you stumbled on it whilst driving through Palmwoods, chances are you’ve told everyone you know, too.

The granddaddy of Ocean Street night life, Sol Bar is at the centre of all great Maroochydore nights out. Sol Bar is the perfect culmination of music, arts and culture—a place where after-work drinks and dreadlocks come together. 

Aptly named The Basement, this no-frills Nambour bar was once just that—a hotel storage basement held together by panelling and walls that hadn’t been touched in about 50 years.

The Post Office hits all the marks for a great night out: relaxed, cosmopolitan, vintage, cool!

Easily one of the best restaurants in Noosa, Locale is not to be missed.

Tucked away in Rumba Resort, this white-washed, Hamptons-esque poolside bar is a stone’s throw from Bulcock Beach. Split into several areas—there’s a lounge area with plenty of cane armchairs for those solo sessions when you wanna read a book and relax, a sleek timber bar complete with Bentwood stools for cosy date nights and a beer garden posi with a stunning green wall, custom-built benches and its very own fast bar.
