Whether you’re a sweet tooth or you prefer breakfasts of the savoury variety, one thing we can all agree on is that there aren’t many better ways to start off a day than with a warm hearty brekkie.

As we do the hard yards and sample ALL of the Sunshine Coast’s best breakfasts in an effort to bring you guys the ultimate hit lists, our ‘research’ has brought about a revelation: almost everything tastes better when it’s wrapped in a tortilla, whether it’s soft and fluffy or toasted to perfection.

So here y’all have it, hot off the press—a handful of the best breakfast burritos on the Coast, well worth waking up for.

Moto

Noosa

Haaaaaave you met Moto? This triple-threat (motorcycle showroom + cafe + bar, just FYI) is home to a scrummy brekkie burrito, ready to cure the meanest of all hangovers—or just satisfy an epic morning hunger! Think scrambled eggs, crispy prosciutto, avo, tomato, cheese, black beans, corn, housemade salsa and chipotle, all rolled into a soft tortilla to create one dish of cylindrical deliciousness.

Raw Energy

Across The Coast

If you’re not yet on the breakfast burrito train, Raw Energy is the perfect place to start, with a handful of stores spread out around the Coast! It’s actually super lucky that there’s a few around the place, because damn, they make one tasty burrito! This bad boy is jam-packed with bacon, eggs, avo salsa, chilli jam, tasty cheese and…wait for it…their signature Mexican patty. Basically, allllll the good stuff.

Coffee Cat

Kings Beach

Coffee Cat has one of the primest of positions in Caloundra, sittin’ pretty right on Kings Beach. But looks aren’t everything. Their breakfast menu is off the chain and the brekkie burrito is a hot favourite! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to order and devour this toasted tortilla, piled with smoked bacon, a free-range egg, black beans, corn, tomato salsa, fresh spinach and guac, with chipotle sauce on the side. Think you can handle it?

Good Bar

Mooloolaba

Pumping out a rocking breakfast burrito at the mo’ is none other than Mooloolaba’s Good Bar. If you and your tastebuds are in need of a wakeup, the ‘Early Mexican’ is just the ticket—a burrito chock-full of scrambled egg, salsa, cheese and coriander, plus a cheeky bit of green chilli just to spice things up a little. Killer combo!
