Fashion mavens, listen up! There’s a brand new lifestyle boutique on the Coast, boasting racks and racks and racks of incredible threads, and it’s got your name all over it!
Launched earlier this week, Hunted Concept is dangerous. Dangerous for anybody with a credit card which they stuff in a hidden compartment of their wallet to reduce temptation, telling themselves it can only (read: ONLY) be used in emergencies.
Well… this is kind of an emergency. At least for lovers of fashion who will most probably die if they don’t add some fresh pieces to their wardrobe. Stat.
Taking up shop in the heart of Maroochydore, if you’re an Ocean Street lurker, you may have seen some work taking place a few doors up from one of our fave coffee shops (cough, Tome). Consider this the big reveal. After a few months of hard renovating and kitting out the space with beautiful custom-made cabinetry by Sunshine Coast furniture makers RAW, Hunted Concept is open for the perusing.
The brainchild of Amy Rush and close friend Rachel Hunt (of Hair and Hunt fame), Hunted Concept is divided into two parts (keep reading, we ain’t spilling just yet) and offers so much more than your average shopping experience.
Walk through the doors, and you’ll be whisked into a world of stunning basics and classics by the likes of NOBODY Denim, Assembly Basics, and Gold Coast’s t-shirt kingpins Frances Hendrie. Luxe street label White Story and the feminine MLM Label also hang from the racks. Add to that, monochrome notebooks from An Organised Life and statement jewellery by F + H and Linda Tahija, and you’re practically gliding into an I-want-to-buy-everything dream.
What’s more, at the back of the store, past the sprawling accessories and kids’ capsule, is the new salon of Hunt and Hair. Voted as one of the 10 best hairdressers on the Sunshine Coast by you, Rachel is renowned for giving her full attention to one client at a time, chopping by appointment only.
We know having a conjoined salon AND fashion boutique is pretty much the best thing ever, but we’re also a bit fearful of the fact that a cut and colour will now most likely double in price, thanks to the bags of new clothes we’ll be walking out with. “I mean, we didn’t plan on buying three shirts, but we needed them.”
Having only officially opened a few days ago, Hunted Concept will be adding new labels and carefully-selected homewares to the mix in the coming months. So, keep your eyes firmly fixed on their Facebook page for any goss or, even better, drop in and find out IRL.
Loving what you’re doing, ladies!
