A New Night Market Has Hit The Coast And It’s Pretty Epic

By Claire Plush - 01 Jun 2017

Picture this: a vacant block in the middle of Pacific Paradise, turning into a bustling foodie marketplace every Friday night. Packed with stalls and food trucks that are dishing up more street eats than you could possibly poke a fork at.

Sounds like some kind of dream, huh? Wrong! Say a big hello to the Sunshine Coast’s newest night market, Timari Village Marketplace

Kicking off its market career for the first time last week, we went along in the name of “research” and shuffled down three lanes brimming with all. of. the. food.

From smaller tapas-style dishes and organic feeds to full-blown meals and irresistible desserts, these guys have made sure that no-one will be left hungry on their watch.

We did a few rounds to scope out the offerings before diving in and eating our way through the whole place, all to some legitimately good live music. Ambience = tick! There was wood-fired pizza, Japanese gyoza and okonomiyaki, American hot dogs, all things loaded from the Good Food Fellas, crepes, burgers, golden calamari, Turkish gozleme, injectable cinnamon doughnuts — man, we could just keep going. And going. And going. Satisfied doesn’t even begin to describe it.

Popping up every Friday night, under the stars, it’s safe to say Timari Village Marketplace is already a hot contender among the best markets on the Sunshine Coast. So, do your tastebuds a favour and get there asap to see what all the buzz is about.

When: Every Friday, 4pm-8pm
Where: 10/18 Timari Street, Pacific Paradise
