Over here at The Urban List, we heard an enticing rumour: a rumour that someone had created a room in Nambour where you could just go and smash a bunch of crap with a baseball bat. Obviously, it sounded amazing, so we did some investigating.
Opening this Friday 20 October, the The Smash Pit is the first of its kind in Queensland, and we’re already wondering where it has been all our lives.
Basically, you head into a purpose-built room, kitted out in safety gear, with a bat and a crate of stuff—think crockery and electrical items—then you let out any anger, pain or stress by smashing to smithereens anything within reach. It’s not rocket science, it’s destruction therapy and we bet you’ll leave on a freakin’ high.
There’s music in the pit, so you can Bluetooth your own heavy metal tunes or select from The Smash Pit’s playlists—Barry Manilow to sooth those break up blues, perhaps?
Offering a bunch of different smashing sessions from a 10-minute classic package to a mega smash (four people, four crates) there’s also a BYO option where you bring your own items and show that piece of s**t TV you bought at last year’s sales who’s really the boss.
Looking for more things to do on the Sunshine Coast that you had no idea existed? We've got you covered!
