Maroochydore Just Scored A Vegetarian Brunch Bar & It’s All Kinds Of Beautiful!

Calling all vegos! Boy, do we have some news for you. A gorgeous new brunch bar has just opened its doors in Maroochydore and, guess what? It’s 100% meat-free! 

Yep, that’s right. Two Point Oh! is the newest vegetarian cafe to hit the Sunshine Coast and you’ll find no bacon in sight for your animal-lovin’ heart. How good is that!? 

Created by husband and wife duo Gauri Barrera and Kunal Mani, Two Point Oh! has been on our radar for months, and now we finally get to spill the beans. 

Located in the new Kon-Tiki building, a stone’s throw from Sunshine Plaza, it’s obvious that while this newbie is all about dishing up delicious food, it’s also about devouring it in a beautiful space, which is exactly what these folks have created. Using a mix of soft-coloured timbers, lashings of white paint, marble and gold accents that manage to be luxe without being blingy, we’re totally digging the Scandi-inspired design of Two Point Oh!

But the details don’t stop there, with the cafe’s logo making ‘art’ out of the pass wall, a white coffee machine complete with custom-made wooden handles and gold pendant lights and water taps gracing the bar area. Basically, if you’re chasing a dining experience with ‘pared back elegance’ a stop here should be your first port of call. 

But we’re not here to talk only interiors, so let’s get to the tasty stuff. Serving an all-day brunch menu every day of the week, as well as a dinner offering from Thursday to Saturday, Two Point Oh! delivers progressive vegetarian dishes in a refined setting. And with delicate Indian and Asian flavour infusions, thanks to the couple’s backgrounds, your tastebuds will go into a feeding frenzy on first bite. Promise!

If the possibility of an 11am breakfast is your idea of heaven, then you’ll have within your reach too-pretty-to-eat breakfast bowls (order the Ying & Yang, a blend of coconut and tapioca and mango, decorated with edible flowers and caramelised lychee), an egg-free French toast with a white chocolate and pistachio mascarpone and an avo bagel with smashed peas, turmeric hummus and a smoked beetroot puree, to name a few. Plus, specialty coffee by 5 senses to seal the deal. Drooling yet? Wait ‘til you hear what’s for dinner. 

Alongside of your fave wines, craft beers and cocktails (with a special lean towards gin concoctions), there’ll be an incredible range of tapas-style options like Bombay-spiced potatoes and braised eggplant to more substantial dishes like sweet potato gnocchi with a yellow curry sauce. 

And all this, is just the beginning, guys. We can hardly wait to see what else Two Point Oh! pulls off over summer. But, if you’ve already got the keys in your hand and are ready to hunt this place down, then we’d better give you some deets. 

After a soft opening early this week, Two Point Oh! will be officially opening to the public tomorrow morning (Thursday) from 6.30am.
