The film that made the rest of the planet believe the Australian outback was filled with trigger-happy psychopathic nut-jobs is getting a television remake on Stan, which is totes hooray—if you like blood, gore and horror movies! Not so great news if the thought of murderers has you reaching for doona covers...

And now, to celebrate the 2016 mini-series spin-off, local Spotswood brewers Two Birds have decided to deliver Melbourne the creepy idea of a Wolf Creek themed pop up bar, with a limited edition ale on offer. It’s going to be a killer event... Pun intended.

Named after the show’s terrifyingly crazy cowboy, Mick Taylor, Two Birds Brewing have created speciality brewed Mick’s Bitter ale—and the pop-up bar also promises to serve frothies and non-alcoholic drinks at “outback prices”. Sound vague? So did the plot of Wolf Creek 2, but you watched it anyway.

Giveaways, opportunities to meet the stars of the new Wolf Creek television show (John Jarratt is returning to play Taylor), and an outback-inspired menu is only on offer from Thursday 5 May until Sunday 8 May in Melbourne. Head into Federation Square for a fright before Wolf Creek premiers on Tuesday 12 May.
