Chicken Rice Corner, everyone's favourite Perth chicken rice joint, has opened up a second shop in the CBD's Allendale Square and we could not be more excited. At just $6.50 a pop, the Hainanese chicken rice these guys dish out on the daily is phenomenal and about as close as you'll get to the real deal they're serving in Singapore. If you're a tofu fan, the guys here make theirs fresh on the daily, plus, they serve an extremely comforting curry laksa. Mmmm!

You should never judge a book by its cover, but actually, Hubbles Yard in East Fremantle is everything you're hoping it to be. A laid back spot where you can sit down and enjoy a fresh juice or nice cup of coffee while enjoying the relaxed Freo vibes. If you don't have time to sit down for breakfast (although we wouldn't miss the mushrooms on toast with goats cheese and green pesto), you can take a crispy falafel salad with you for lunch. We know it's easy to get carried away in all this cosiness, but try not to forget to bring one of their pastries home. You'll thank us later.

The guys at Filament Cold Brew Coffee might just be serving up the best nitro cold brew in all of Perth! Starting the company from one of the founder’s man caves at home, these guys are now regulars at the Mount Claremont Farmers Markets so you can get your fix every Saturday morning, and they also appear at a few other markets around Perth from time to time.

One visit to Rabbit In The Moon Cafe in North Fremantle and you'll be wanting to come back over and over again. The clean Scandinavian style will instantly brighten your day, but not as much as the food and coffee. The beans are fresh, the freakshakes are freaky and the waffles are made with popping candy... yeah. If you're not much of a sweet fan, they've also got fresh juices and fruit and eggs to fill your tummy. This one is a definite must try.

It’s not every day you stumble across a good Moroccan restaurant in Perth—especially not one that is BYO—which is why Mashawi Moroccan and Middle Eastern in Mount Lawley really caught our attention. The food is authentic, scrumptious and reasonably priced, and if you’re lucky enough to get a table on a Saturday night when the belly dancer is there, the atmosphere is electric. Go with a group and order up big, but whatever you do, make sure you don't miss out on the kofta tahini and potato tagine and the ricotta and custard stuffed pastries.

We know when that hotline bling, that can only mean one thing—at Hotline Hoagies it means subs stuffed with all the cheesy, meaty, oily, crunchy goodness imaginable. Specialising in the meatball sub, but offering Dorrito crumbed chicken parmis, fried chicken, pulled beef and add-ons like loaded fries, every type of cheese you can think of and their famous four-hour tomato sauce, these guys are satisfying all our cravings. They now have a semi-permanent pop up store in Perth so make sure you give them a visit! And if you're too lazy for that, Hotline Hoagies are also available on UberEats.

Float therapy is basically the ultimate form of relaxation and the team at Float Fremantle make it an absolute breeze. Next time you're feeling a bit stressed out or run down, step into one of their pods. Filled with 500kg of Epsom salts dissolved in 1000L of water, you'll feel completely weightless as you float in the 37-degree water (that's body temperature FYI, so you can barely tell where your body ends and the water begins).

There is something special about the Freo style, which is pretty difficult to emulate, but luckily the team at The Archive are making it nice and easy for us! The Archive is a beautiful lifestyle store in the heart of Fremantle with amazing fashion finds and some of the best homewares in all of Perth. With a mixture of Australian and international designers like Zoe Karssen, Viktoria + Woods and Dylan Kain, they only carry the best of the season’s collections. In other words, you don’t have to look far for your new standout pieces!

Rossonero Pizza in Maylands has a spectacular pizza menu for the adventurous and not so adventurous folk! Their pizzas are jam packed full of flavour, with a variety of toppings to cater to just about anyone. The Lai Lai is proving to the people of Perth that pineapple does belong on pizza, while Sweet Cheesus and Bries To Meet You are answering all your cheesy prayers. For the meat lovers, the Sticky Pig and Dirty Hosk are real winners, and for dessert? Gelato sandwiches for all! If there's something the Italians know how to do, it's to put on a feast.

Little Stove in Bicton serves up divine eats in a seriously cute space, so we'd recommend lingering over your food here and really taking it all in.

Ahhh Benny’s, hello old friend. After some pretty significant renovations (including a super cool retracting roof!) Benny’s is back on Fremantle's cappuccino strip and it's better than ever. The food is hearty and totally delicious and the cocktails will have you wanting to stay all night long!

MOP Donuts in the Perth CBD serve spiked doughnuts to the masses seven days a week. Are you drunk with excitement yet? Tucked into the 140 precinct, the doughy, brioche-style balls of goodness are all made on premises (hence the name) and flavoured with delicious elixirs like espresso martini, Baileys, Cointreau and gin. MOP Donuts also dish out doughnut burgers, tipsy burgers (we like the sound of that), ice cream doughnuts, freak shakes and boozy shakes. Holy moly!

Mary Street Bakery is set to take over the world with their second CBD location in Allendale Square (that's their fourth in Perth!). They are serving up their full brunch menu, so if it's not the doughnuts, the fried chicken with buttermilk pancakes are about all that is needed to convince you to stop by. Week days in the city just got a whole lot more appealing.

Como’s HangOut on 20 Preston is a cosy little joint dishing up all sorts of delish food for brekky, lunch and dinner. The plush leather booths and fireplace will make you want to order one of everything on the menu (plus a bottle of red) and settle in for the night.

Ex-masterchef contestant Wade Drummond is the man behind Leake Street Cafeteria in Fremantle but don't be fooled into thinking it's all crumpets at this little cafe. Epic coffee and fresh, simple and delicious eats at very reasonable prices are the main game here and we looooovveeeee it. The menu changes on the regs but there's a different salad every day, some legendary rolls, drool-worthy muffins (both sweet and savoury) and a game-changing bircher muesli—all made in what is probably the smallest kitchen in Perth!

If you enjoy DIY meals you'll love Pepper Lunch in Perth CBD. Pepper Lunch serve tasty Japanese fare which you cook on a piping hot 260 degree teppan at your table. Our favourites have to be the signature beef pepper rice and the salmon pepper rice, served with Pepper Lunch's unique margarine, corn and...you guessed it...loads of roasted black pepper. Mix it all up to cook to your liking and add some sweet or garlic sauce (or both) and enjoy, just don't burn your mouth!

Bellisa Cafe in Bedford takes care of everything—from a simple breakfast for two, to catering a high tea for 20. Their breakfast menu has all the classics you love and their lunch menu is nothing short of a home run. Bellisa also offer off-site catering! What a little neighbourhood gem of a cafe!

Started by two guys who knew nothing about flowers (except that the women in their lives loved them), mates Jay and James were overwhelmed by the many varying flower options in Perth and how painful it was to order them online, so Flower Bros was born. They teamed up with one of Perth’s finest florists (Rebecca Const of Fox & Rabbit) who makes a handful of arrangements using only the freshest seasonal blooms. These guys understand exactly how we want our flowers to be delivered—awesome, easy and without the fuss. 

Zeus Street Greek is showing the people of Perth that souvlaki is good for more than a greasy hangover cure! 

With mind-blowing flavours and very beautiful decor, Pietro Gelateria are masters of the finer details. Dishing up creamy homemade scoops free of commercial flavourings and artificial additives, you can enjoy yours in a cone, cup, on a stick or even in a custom gelato cake! They also serve Dukes coffee, Love Tea and all staff wear socially conscious local threads from One Tenth. You can't leave without trying a Sicilian granita made with real seasonal fruit, nuts and coffee, and frozen to perfection.  

If you need a break from the daily grind Office On Angove in North Perth is about to become your new retreat. Serving a range of delicious breakfast and lunch options which are far from boring, Office On Angove sure know how to make us feel at home. We love the pork hock with black pudding crumb and romesco served with a poached egg on brioche for brunch. Plus, they are BYO, so why not enjoy a glass of prosecco with broadbean fritters or a cheeky gin and juice with their hot smoked salmon dish. They also have free wifi so you can smash some emails with a coffee and fresh muffin by your side. This is one office you won't want to escape.

Fika is a Swedish custom that is all about taking a break to enjoy your coffee and our friends at Fika On Brix in Beckenham have certainly embraced this work day ritual.

Sorganic Sourdough Bakery in Subiaco is crafting some seriously delicious bread using a 30-year-old organic sourdough mother. The traditional sourdough’s bite is spot on, but we’re a tad obsessed with the fruit loaf and its combination of chewy, dense sourdough and sticky fruit (think apricots, figs and plump raisins) surrounded by the crunch of a perfectly wood-fired crust.

Even before you have stepped foot in South Fremantle furniture store East West Design, your expectations will be sky high, considering you'll have been welcomed by some of Perth’s most spectacular street art on the exterior of the building. Once inside the doors, you won’t be disappointed. The bright and lively showroom contains a mixture of unique pieces from all around the world—from rustic timber, industrial pieces to vintage leather and Chinese antiques, all selected with great attention to detail. Whether it’s your outdoor or indoor area that needs a little charm, this is the place to go. 

Making use of the area that is Don Tapa by night, The Mantle Harvester dishes out brunch on Saturdays and Sundays and it's out of this world! With dishes like jerk fried chicken waffles with maple and wattleseed mascarpone, whisky cured ocean trout bagels and healthier options like the health in a bowl—brown rice, quinoa, pickles, edamame, nuts, seeds and an egg—or the paleo granola with poached fruits and yoghurt, you’d be mad not to get there ASAP!

The bao and burger gods unite as Sixty Grams in Mount Lawley delivers us baogers and baowiches! These guys have combined all the things we love about burgers and sandwiches and jammed it nicely into bao buns. 

If you're in search of a bit of spice and all things nice, Sedap Place in East Victoria Park is dishing up some seriously authentic and enticing Malaysian eats. You can't go past the hearty chicken curry laksa and the nasi lemak. Team them with either the beef rendang or chicken curry (or both) and you're set for tasty times. Sedap means delicious, and this place certainly is!

Tucked into suburban Wanneroo, Cafe Elixir is dishing up what just might be the best breakfast in the north. The breakfast board and the burger are both phenomenal, but if you're into dessert for breakfast (and why wouldn't you be?) you'll want to get your hands on the choc-Nutella pancakes. If all that's not enough to get you excited, these guys also do a Nutella cappuccino that will blow your mind! Oh my. 

If you’re a crazy fan of meatballs and you don’t mind a cocktail or two, look no further than The Meatball Bar in Fremantle. For those of you on a budget, the friendly team here do all-you-can-eat (yes you read that correctly) meatballs plus a house wine AND dessert on Mondays and Tuesdays for just $39! You’ll be rolling out of there (like a meatball)!

Serving up real-deal Korean BBQ, Arirang has amazing food which is now on offer at Allendale Square in Perth CBD—their sixth location in Perth! Whether you opt for the cupbap (a cup of bibimbap, duh) or a nice big bibimbap make sure you get a serving of the Korean fried chicken too. All the food at the Allendale Square shop will be ready to grab and go so it's perfect for all you busy bees working in the city.

If you love seafood as much as we do, A Fish Called Inglewood on Beaufort Street will be your new go-to restaurant. Not only are they responsible for some of the best fish and chips in Perth, they are also serving up some delicious modern Australian seafood dishes—like the ocean trout with carpaccio, chipotle and a tasty tomato capsicum salsa and the lip-smacking soy glazed Atlantic salmon with ginger and shallots. If you need to take your seafood treasures with you home that is no problem, just make sure you don’t miss out on their homemade ice cream—if you’re feeling exotic try the tequila, chilli and dark chocolate or lychee, pear and anise. Yum. 

Perth's first shop dedicated entirely to the sweet treat that basically sums up your childhood, Spirals Cinnamon in Mount Hawthorn is baking some of the best dang cinnamon scrolls in town! The classic is amazing of course, but if you want something a little different why not give the salted butterscotch pecan, the cream cheese or the chocolate fudge scroll a try? Or if you can't decide, just grab a mixed box sampler and call it a day.

If you're looking to green-ify your pad, then look no further than Salty Gold in South Fremantle. With indoor plants galore, beautiful hand painted pots and a range of skin care, jewellery, gifts and homewares, you'll be hard pressed not to spend all your cash in a matter of minutes. These guys have light weight pots from Arc and Family (so you can move your plants around 'til your heart's content) as well as smaller pots made by a local Freo ceramist so you'll have no trouble finding a little house for your new plants.

Not your average milk bar, Fremantle cafe Milk Belly is dedicated to providing patrons with the most over the top amazing drinks and tasty treats. Our fave has got to be the Bueno shake topped with a waffle cone and Ferrero Rocher, drizzled in Nutella—O.M.G! Milk Belly also does perfectly brewed coffee, epic sweet treats, killer sandwiches, and even steamed shakes when the weather cools down! 

Eggsluff is a brand new Asian-inspired cafe located in the heart Subiaco. From burgers to fried rice, this little joint serves a range of healthy but filling dishes, making it the perfect spot to pop into on your lunch break. If you fancy trying something new, their signature dish Egssluff—pureed potato topped with a poached egg and herbs and served with toast—is a must try! 

Located in the heart of Fremantle’s historic West End precinct, PS Art Space is one of Perth's most exciting and unique contemporary art galleries. Now a converted warehouse, the gallery hosts a number of exhibitions and events, delivering art culture to Perth by representing both Australian and international artists.

The Floral Army in East Fremantle is delivering some of the prettiest posies to the people of Perth on the daily. The clever team here uses fresh, locally grown flowers to create something special every single time. If you're in the area, drop in and pick up some greenery for your home and why not grab a pot or two while you're there.

Sitting pretty on James Street in Northbridge, Tiki As FK is not your average tiki bar. With an unexpected outdoor terrace boasting epic views of the city, plenty of tropical cocktails and a few bar bites to line the stomach, you'll want to add this one to your tiki hit list stat. With a cheeky sign out front stating that all their drinks contain booze and all their food contains gluten and nuts, this place isn't for the sensitive souls out there, but if you're looking to have a bit of fun, you know what to do.

Coccolicco in Fremantle does some pretty amazing things with two slices of bread, serving up some of the tastiest sandwiches going around. They also do killer breakfasts, coffees and smoothies, not to mention delicious baked treats! Whatever you do, give the smoked salmon sandwich a try, you won't regret it.

East Perth cafe DuoTone is serving up breakfast like you've never seen it before. In the mood for crispy sweet potato noodles? Done. Mushroom bruschetta? Done. Or what about the most epic PB&J smoothie you'll ever see? Done, done and done! The smoothies are topped with a whopping 20g of whey protein to keep you going all day, and the nourishing lunch bowls will make you feel all sorts of good. DuoTone is also serving up sweet treats all day long, most of which are gluten-free and dairy-free.

Sanook Thai Cafe in Greenwood serves up fresh aromatic Thai food, promising a taste that takes you right into the bustling streets of Bangkok. From the outside, it might not look like much to get excited about but wait until your first bite of a crispy Thai chicken wing before you judge.

Port City Roasters is in Fremantle in the spot that was once the Roasting Warehouse and it is pumping out some mighty fine coffee. Serving knockout breakfast and lunch, this Freo gem is much more than just a coffee pit stop. If you don't have time for breakfast, we recommend grabbing one of their homemade doughnuts and a coffee to let your cares melt away.

Arirang is probably the most well-known Korean BBQ spot in Perth, and for good reason, the food is delicious! In the meat department, the beef bulgogi is a real winner, but they've also got wagyu, three-layered pork belly and marinated beef ribs—bring on the meat sweats! While you're there, definitely order a serving of the kimcheese fried rice.

Chic Pea Cafe in the Freo Markets will make you actually consider becoming a vegan. Yes, true story. They dish up a variety of vegan and gluten free burgers, quiches and sweet treats, as well a changing menu of hot dishes like warming winter curries and hearty soups.

Djurra salon and spa in Fremantle is the perfect place to indulge in all of your beauty needs. This spa offers a whole host of skin treatments from hot stone massages and facials, to perfecting plant peels and brightening blemish removals. If you're after something less drastic, then look no further as they also offer a range of beauty treatments like professional makeup applications, lash and brow tinting and waxing. With some of the most talented hairstylists in Perth, the hair salon also offers damage remedy and scalp treatments, as well as the entire Aveda suite of products! Whatever your beauty needs, Djurra has got you covered from head to toe.

Tucked away in the suburban streets of South Perth, The Little Banksia serves up some damn fine coffee and a spectacular brekky and lunch menu. You'll feel right at home in this delightful little cafe, with its wooden floorboards and exposed brick walls. We recommend the nasi goreng, smashed avo and pancakes or anything and everything on their menu! Plus, their pastries and cakes are to die for if you're looking for something small to nibble on as you enjoy the tasty coffee or tea.

Dishing out tapas with a twist, De Ja Vu in Northbridge is sure to impress. Hidden upstairs on William Street in an unassuming building, the first thing you'll notice when you enter the restaurant on the first floor is the killer view of Northbridge. Once you sit down, you'll want to order the rosemary damper, sweet potato fries and the cinnamon and cayenne spiced shiitake balls ASAP. With plenty of vegan options as well as interesting ingredients like jackfruit and native macadamia, there is someone for everyone at this little gem!

World tapas is on the menu at The Cavern in Kalamunda and we can't get enough. Choose from crunchy fried cheese stuffed jalapenos, double crumbed french brie, crispy prawn dumplings or any of the other scrumptious items on the menu. The Cavern also offers a banquet menu to make choosing a little easier (and life a little cheaper). Plus, they've got loads of gluten-free friendly items and a killer cocktails list.

Nestled into leafy Gooseberry Hill, Embers Wood Fired is your go to for hearty Italian eats in the hills. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the wood-fired pizzas at Embers are incredible, and also available for takeaway—we love the Cacc-22 with cacciatore, caramelised onions, goats cheese and artichoke. Definitely stop by on your next trek up the hill.

For a killer Monday night quiz, tasty seafood and loads of laid-back vibes, Clancy’s Fish Pub in Applecross is the ticket. Serving up some of Perth’s best fish and chips, chilli mussels and steak sandwiches, these guys are also open for brekky during the week.

The Grumpy Sailor is dishing out stellar coffee and even better bagels to the people of Fremantle every day of the week. The team here also do some pretty epic freakshakes—like honeycomb and Snickers—but if you're after something to make your insides sing, try one of their beetroot or turmeric lattes. Yummo.
