If we had to imagine what happiness on a stick would look like, then Happy Pops would be our ultimate go-to.

That’s right folks, the latest gelato joint to set up shop on Hastings Street is indeed a special place where you’re guaranteed to come hungry and leave very (and we mean VERY) happy. It’s like nothing else we’ve seen on the Sunshine Coast and we’re nek level obsessed, obvi.

Let us introduce you to Happy Pops

Maybe we should start by letting you know that their waffle machine was imported from the UK to ensure the best possible gourmet waffles are created with each and every serve.

And the waffles on a stick are not only for those of us with a sweet tooth, but also those of us who enjoy a savoury waffle once in a while. You can literally top them off with whatever tickles your fancy. Think: yoghurt, ice-cream, fresh berries, melted chocolate, macadamias, maple syrup and rose petals, just to name a few toppings. Yep, you can come in for brekky and stay for dessert.

It’s the same deal with their slightly warmed brownies too. In yet another Sunshine Coast first, they’re also offering up brownies on a stick and you can DIY your own amazing toppings. Our pick is the soft serve and warmed chocolate. (Just trust us, it’s a winning combo.) It’s worth noting that you can also have both the brownie and waffles sticks NAKED, but honestly, why would you when so many amaze toppings are on offer?

But if we were forced to pick our absolute fave, it would have to be their homemade premium gelato pops. Yet another Sunshine Coast first and the most delicious creation we’ve treated ourselves to in a while. You can also add on whatever topping you’d like, but we just prefer to go commando with these puppies. We highly recommend the hazelnut and almond, which is also dairy free. Woot!

Did we also mention all the ingredients are locally sourced with gluten free and vegan products available for those who are so inclined? #winning

The interior of the store is fresh, fun and inviting creating the perfect space for maximum ice-cream nomming.

If you’re looking to get happy when in Noosa, your first stop really should be to Happy Pops, where you’ll ALWAYS find happiness on a stick.
