Vinyl lovers, get your record players ready!
Because a massive fair selling records, cds and cassettes is popping up on the Sunshine Coast this weekend. And, with some price tags as little as one buck, it’s inevitable that you’re going to score a few dusty nuggets to take home.
Held at Buddina Primary School, entry to the Sunshine Coast Record Fair will cost you a gold coin donation with all the money raised going to BeyondBlue. But, if you want to shop outside of the 9am to 3pm opening hours, you can pull out a fiver and get access to everything at 8.30am before the crowd sets in (and you lose that original copy of Neil Young you had your eye on). There’ll be over 25,000 records to scope out, so that extra halfa could be just the head start you need.
And, in true Sunshine Coast community spirit, if there’s something you would sell your soul for, AKA have been on the hunt for forever, flick the organiser a message on Facebook now. Word on the street is they have magic powers to make all your vinyl dreams come true IRL—yep, they may be able to find you that elusive disc.
With DJs spinning their faves and a whole Sunday evening to put the needle on your new finds, if you’ve got a soft spot for vinyl, do not miss this event. Capeesh?
