Where To Watch The Super Bowl On The Sunshine Coast

By Claire Plush - 06 Feb 2016

Sure, the Super Bowl might not be the biggest sporting day of the year for Sunny Coasters, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a pack of dedicated locals hanging out to catch the game.

So, for all of you gridiron supporters out there, we’ve rounded up where you can watch the 2016 Super Bowl on the Sunshine Coast.

They might not be the fanciest venues around, but they’re opening up their doors for your inconvenient viewing pleasure, so play nice.

The Post Office

Feast on finger-licking good buffalo wings, hotdogs, and Budweiser buckets while watching the game on the big screen at The Post Office. The Sunshine Coast Gridiron team will be there too, so if you’ve got no clue about what’s going on, get one of these guys to give you the run down.

The Reef

For those looking for some Super Bowl action at the northern tip of the Coast, Noosa Reef Hotel is broadcasting the game live and loud! Knock back a Budweiser at the venue in the days leading up to the big event, and you’ll go in the draw to win the best seats in the house, free tucker, and beer for 10 people.

Duporth Tavern

From the Bay Area to Maroochydore, Duporth Tavern is throwing their support behind what could be Peyton Manning’s last game. It’s all happening from 9.30am, with hot dogs served at half-time.

Pub Mooloolaba

From the comfort of Pub Mooloolaba’s beer garden, you’ll be cheering on America’s favourite game on the big screen. With free bar snacks at the ready, all you gotta do is decide who you’re backing—Panthers or Broncos?

Alex Hotel

Huge screen—tick! Hot breakfast—tick! We’re pretty sure Alex Hotel is the place to be if you love your gridiron and want to catch the game alongside equally boisterous fans, but don’t want to skip the most important meal of the day. Best book a table for this one!
