Brisbane, We’re Getting A Vegan Mexican Pop-Up Diner

Brisbanites, rejoice! We’ve been blessed because Sydney icon Bad Hombres is popping up in Brisbane from tonight for five. Whole. Weeks.

If you’ve been living under a rock then you may not be aware that Bad Hombres is the most legit vegan Mexican food around. Their secret? They’re not about replacing meat items with imitations but rather crafting epic plant-based authentic Mexican dishes from scratch, which will hit you in the face with flavor and make you say olé!

You’d be very mistaken in thinking that if you’re not vegan then you won’t want to pay these muchachos a visit because their dishes use locally sourced ingredients that are punchy, filling and downright delicious. The menu is succinct but what they do, they do phenomenally, with a big emphasis on share plates and getting in there with your ten-finger cutlery.

It’s refreshing to see that the wines on offer are Australian additive-free and organically derived which keeps it local, something we’re all passionate about. If you’re not a wine drinker never fret, they have 10 beers on tap for you too.

This exciting pop-up can be found at Alf's Place, in the old Alfredo’s Pizza restaurant Fortitude Valley as part of the rotating kitchen concept which we’re made keen on.
