Guys, this is not a drill. Newstead is getting an ultra-luxe new late night wine bar designed to dish up mouth-watering food around the clock. The restaurant-bar combo will be known as Drum and comes as one epic collaboration between Nick Pinn and long-time friend Paul Hoffman.
Yes, you read that right, the brains behind Malt Dining, Malt Pier, Malt Traders, Vaquero and On The Side alongside ex-executive chef of Cru Bar and At Sixes and Sevens are coming together to deliver Brisbane the late night bar we all need in our lives. In other words, it’s going to be awesome.
Drum is set to open underneath Mirvac’s Unison development; think a menu featuring no-fuss dishes with European influences and an atmosphere that equally screams 'pop in for a cheese board' or 'stay for a long lunch that turns into a late night.'
The kitchen and bar will be open all day from 11:00am on Tuesday to Sunday, with the added bonus of brunch being served from 10:00am on weekends. Sunday catch-ups with the squad that turns into a boozy long lunch? Don’t mind if we do.
While exact details are being kept under wraps for now, we have it on good authority that Drum will be set to open in the second week of November. We know, we’re excited too!
It’s official: if you need us, we’ll be sipping champagne at Drum’s luxe AF bar. Ah, life is so hard sometimes, you know?
When: TBC mid-November
Where: 12 Longland Street, Newstead
