Tucked just off the main drag of the Promenade at Robina Town Centre, this traditional Italian restaurant is full of authentic flavours and bang-on woodfire pizzas. With laid back vibes, a welcoming interior and Italian just like nonna makes, Double Zero has earned its reputation as a Gold Coast favourite.

Tarte Bakery & Cafe
Wander past Tarte Bakery & Cafe in Burleigh Heads and you'll immediately feel the collision of Parisian and New York style in the forward-facing tables that hug a grand, charcoal grey custom-built façade—typical of establishments found in NYC’s fashionable SoHo and West Village districts. Brass accents are scattered throughout, from vintage train luggage racks stacked with bread to the trim on the custom La Marzocco coffee machine. Other design elements worth lingering to appreciate include mid-century pendant lights shipped over from Amsterdam and the 100-year-old movie theatre counter repurposed as the cafe’s main display counter. The overall result is refined, elegant yet oh so welcoming.

Cheese Lane is a thing and we're here for it.

Just when we thought we’d seen and tasted it all, the crew at D Point Ten decided to bake a croissant in a waffle pan and load it up with toppings and now we’re here: meet the Croffle. Part croissant, part waffle, this new delicacy can be found at Croffee, a small cafe where you can get your croffle fix along with coffee (hence the Croffee—duh). Whether it’s drizzled with chocolate or stacked with ham and cheese (yep, we’re not making this up), you’ll have to pick one of these babies up for yourself to see whether it lives up to the hype.

Having made their mark on the Gold Coast dining scene with their hearty-as-ever plant-based ramen, i like ramen have recently jujed up their beloved menu of 100% vegan Japanese fusion eats, and the results are just as delicious as they are aesthetically pleasing. Following their success, the masterminds behind this gem decided to expand production and bring their delicious tipples to the Gold Coast and we sure aren’t complaining.

Don’t be fooled by the “wine bar” denomination—Destino has a few little tricks up its sleeve. By day it masquerades as a homewares store and espresso bar, and at night it turns into a vibing wine and tapas bar, without being gimmicky—it can be hard to flawlessly transition between three different specialties so seamlessly, but Destino does it well.

The asymmetrical orange blue walls provide a vibrant colour pop to the space and the spacious indoor and outdoor seating is perfect for rounding up your gang for a casual Friday night feed.
