Gelato Fiasco is the brainchild of Josh Davis and Bruno Tropeano from Portland, Maine in the U.S. They’ve spent years refining their techniques and the practises of the original Italian gelato masters. Yet, this is not your typical gelato. Gelato Fiasco is the happy merger of the best ingredients, the truest Italian gelato making techniques and very non-traditional flavours- because gelato should never be boring, after all.
Available at The Log Cabin and 7-Eleven stores, you’ll be able to indulge in four amazing flavours. There’s the Wake N Bacon—your best pancake, maple syrup, bacon breakfast in gelato form, complete with maple syrup and bacon-flavoured candies. For those wanting a bit of spice, try The Log Cabin- chocolate gelato, whisky syrup with sriracha-flake-coated almonds. For those more traditionally minded, there are Maine Munchies, a peanut butter gelato with salted chocolate pretzels, and The Big County Brownie—mint-flavoured gelato with brownie pieces and chocolate sauce.
For those hitting up The Log Cabin, you’ll be served your gelato in black waffle cones with extreme toppings (hint: don’t expect chocolate sauce and sprinkles). If you can’t make it to the pop up but can make it to a 7-Eleven, each Gelato Fiasco pint is labelled by hand and then hand packed, before it is delivered to your local 7-Eleven.
The Log Cabin will pop up at 82 Johnston Street, in Fitzroy on Friday, 5 August and will be open Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until 11 September.
Gelato Fiasco will be available exclusively in all 7-Eleven stores nationally.
