Grampians Music Festival is back for its third year and the line-up is looking the goods.
Taking place in the stunning surrounds of Victoria’s Grampians National Park, the weekend will feature some of our best homegrown talents.
Leading the charge is Sampa The Great, who since her debut album The Great Mixtape, has supported the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Thundercat and Hiatus Kaiyote. Yes, that’s right, Kendrick Lamar.
Recently, Sampa The Great received the coveted Australian Music Prize for her sensational 2018 album, Birds And The BEE9.
Another mega talent gracing the line up is Angie McMahon who has had sell-out shows across Australia and the UK since the release of her first single ‘Slow Mover’ only 12 months ago. Since then, she has secured support slots for Father John Misty, The Shins and Angus & Julia Stone.
Other notable acts include Slum Sociable, Wafia, Alice Skye, Benny Walker and Huntly. The entire line-up is pretty rad, you can check it out here.
Not only will the festival give stage time to some industry greats, but Grampians Music Festival is also working in partnership with Victorian youth music organisation, The Push. The partnership is giving the opportunity for emerging electronic producers and DJs from regional Victoria to score themselves a spot on the line up through the GMF X The Push - Regional Electronic Producer and DJ Competition.
The two-day festival prides itself on 'creating a safe and inclusive environment that celebrates and fosters a culture of positive change in the Australian music industry' and from the looks of the line-up, promises to be an epic weekend. Tickets are on sale now so be quick.
