Set your watch to childhood memories, because Gumbuya Park is getting a multi-million dollar upgrade.

Set in the peaceful surrounds of Tynong, many Victorians will have fond memories of visiting the wildlife reserve with their families for birthday parties or even just for bulk fun. Gumbuya Park is of course still running today, with more than 300 awesome animals on show include dingoes, wombats and koalas. But times have caught up with the ageing park and it's in need of an upgrade.

AFR reports that two high-profile businessmen have recently purchased the park for $4.65 million, with a plan to add accommodation and new rides to the god tier Victorian tourist attraction.

As a kid growing up in Gippsland, this was THE place to cheat death and tear it up on a toboggan or mini car. Man, the adrenaline!
And who could forget their TV ads "Gumbuya Park, you'll have a ball. Gumbuya Park, it's fun for all!" damn right.

Of course you don't have to wait until the upgrades are under way, you can visit right now, and it's perfect for the upcoming school holidays!
