Somewhere in the world there’s a venn diagram where two circles labelled ‘Sneakerheads’ and ‘Miley Cyrus devotees’ overlap. We’re guessing this is Converse’s new target market because they just collab’d with Hannah Montana herself on a sparkly new sneaker range.
And—as you can probably guess from the pics—it’s maximum Miley.
The new range is launching today (2 May) at 2pm. It’s called Converse X Miley Cyrus. You can expect new shoes, leggings, backpacks and accessories, all decked out in Miley’s famous understated and reserved aesthetic. Jks, they’re f*ck-off high-top All Stars with chunky platform heels, glitter 'round the edges and a double scoop of personality. Put it this way—don’t wear them to a job interview.
“No age, no gender, no sex—I wanted everyone to feel included,” Miley says. “Converse has no boundaries. It’s outspoken. I’ve always identified with Converse because the brand appeals and represents so many different cultures and walks of life. And, they’re accessible.” Preach sister!
You can access these bad boys on Converse’s online store, or in person at Converse Chadstone, Converse Emporium and Converse Werribee, along with selected Glue Stores, The Iconic and Platypus stores. Apparel starts at $60 and footwear at $120.
No word yet on what best friend Leslie thinks of the new range.
