I don’t know about you, but each Melbourne Cup Carnival I paw over the fashions in the field photos post-race days. They all look so glamorous! And polished! And it sometimes seems a world away from ‘real life’. But as we gear up for our favourite week of the year—Melbourne Cup Carnival at Flemington—we took a little look at what’s what when it comes to Myer Fashions On The Field and have put together a quick guide of everything you need to know if you you’re not quite ‘in the know’.
Come One, Come All
Myer Fashions On The Field isn’t just the domain of the women, there’s a mens section too and it’s taken just as seriously as the ladies.
It’s Super Welcoming
Seeing all of these primped and preened race goers strutting their stuff in some seriously glam get-ups can be a teeny bit intimidating. Fear not my friend, because for the first time Myer Fashions On The Field will be held in an epic new precinct at Flemington called The Park. Open to all race goers, the event is now super accessible, with a fun and playful atmosphere that will welcome everyone to Melbourne Cup Carnival's premier fashion event.
If you find racewear fashion a little intimidating. Do your research, and take a look at photo galleries from past years to get a feel for what is expected. But don’t be afraid to put your own up-to-date twist on your outfit. Myer Fashions On The Field has some great galleries that you can find here. Also, keep your eyes peeled for our fashion guide for each day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
It’s The Ultimate Melbourne Bucket List Item

We’ve got a bucket list of ultimate Melbourne events and activities, and entering Myer Fashions On The Field is right up there as something we’re keen to tick off.
