Did you spend Easter digital detoxing and enjoying some rayz? That sounds great and all, but you’ve missed the new stuff happening in Melbourne this week. We've got menu revamps, kitchen collab’s and all-out wars against plastic. Confused? Don’t worry, we’re here to catch you up.

Here’s all the news you missed this week.

  • Archie Green has launched an Australian Brasserie-themed new menu, and their happy hour makes us very happy. $9 per stem and $10 cocktails all week from 4pm-7pm…drink up.

  • South Melbourne Market has declared war against plastic and will go plastic bag free this April. Paving the way, guys. Love it! 

  • French restaurant, Bistro Gitan have introduced an express lunch menu running from 12pm-3pm on weekdays.

  • This month’s Deadman’s Dozen from Marion is available to try at home, 12 bottles of wine for only $270 ($22.50 a pop)!

  • Burger Project unveiled their new stack: a triple-decker limited edition burger called The Barnyard. You'll be able to get it from 2 April – 31 May. The Barnyard Stack is paired up with the cult beer, Newtowner Pale Ale from Young Henry’s

  • Bomba’s Rooftop Bar is closing for a makeover and will return mid-July. Not to fear, the Tapas Bar will stay open to keep you well fed and hydrated.

  • Coombe Yarra Valley Winery has revamped its Autumn Menu and renovated its cellar door. Good excuse to get your drink onnn.

  • Lord of the Fries just launched a new all-day brekky range, that’s 100% Vegan! That’s right: Vegan chick’n bacon waffles, eggs and fakin’ bacon.

  • You can now recreate your own house out of LEGO pieces from Little Brick Lane. Maybe make your room an en-suite while you’re at it…a girl can dream.

  • A massive food truck festival is coming to Melbourne this May. Over 40 food trucks will make an appearance at The Food Truck Festival. Come starving.  

  • The NGV Triennial exhibition is wrapping up next week, and its most definitely worth a visit. What are we going to do without this in our lives? 

  • This free dance fest is guaranteed to make you shake that thang like Shakira.  

  • Preston’s Food Truck Park is hosting a peanut butter festival, with peanut buttery concoctions that will outrank your PB&J sammich.

  • Not to be out-done, Welcome To Thornbury dropped a Ron Swanson Appreciation Day on us. It's kicking off this weekend.
