With studios and gyms across the country being forced to shut their doors, it’s tempting to put your fitness goals on the back burner. But let’s be real: no-one likes a couch potato, and working out at home is so much easier than going to a gym.

You can wear what you like, pick and choose the workouts you want to do, and there’s no one around to judge your game face. All you have to do is jump online and let the trainer take over. Sound achievable?

Check out our selection of the Sunshine Coast’s best online fitness classes, and prepare to get your sweat on.

Noosa Flow

As much as we’ll miss their gorgeous studio and picture-perfect location, we’re forever grateful to Noosa Flow for giving us a chance to rejuvenate our minds, bodies and souls from the comfort of home. Their virtual studio offers something for everyone, with classes ranging from mat pilates to meditation to workouts exclusively tailored for mums and bubs. These classes provide the perfect opportunity to focus your mind and let go of the stresses plaguing us all in these tough times. Sign up on their site to be part of the program, and see what it can do for you.

If you’re looking for Zen vibes on a flexible schedule, Zenko is the studio for you. Their online training times vary day-to-day, and members gain access to an abundance of resources, including guided meditations, chats with instructors and the support of your fellow students. Sign up for a membership online and head to their Facebook page to check out what classes are on offer.

Inflow Pilates & Wellness

For a holistic approach to health that goes beyond class attendance, look no further than Inflow Pilates & Wellness. The centre fosters an inclusive environment that empowers men and women alike to be the best version of themselves. For just $15, you can gain access to the studio’s live online mat, barre & yoga classes, and keep in shape while you’re holed up at home. To top it all off, if you like what you see online, you can sign up for a free trial class once the coronavirus crisis has passed. Who doesn’t love a freebie?

CGM Pilates

Whilst their physical studio may have shut up shop, CGM Pilates has transitioned to virtual classes for all of its members. If you’re new to their program, you don’t need to buy a membership—you can still access their classes for just $10 a session. In fact, the studio  offers a range of flexible pricing options and workout schedules to fit your routine. But when a membership offers 24/7 unlimited access to the CGM video library, it seems crazy to pass up such an epic deal. Check out their site for all the deets, and be sure to take advantage of their limited-time offers.

Barre & Bike

If you’re sweating on a budget, we’ve got good news: Barre & Bike is offering everyone six free online classes. Every. Single. Week. It’s the perfect excuse to find your old exercise bike that’s been sitting around gathering dust and put it to good use. Their live sessions are hyped up and action-packed, so have a gym towel handy. Head to their Insta page to join in on the fun and keep up to date with their class schedules.

Morning Light

Morning Light has always strived to make their studio a home away from home for each of their members. Thanks to COVID-19, they can now do you one better: turning your home into the studio. Show your support by signing up for a membership, which will give you access to 16 live-streamed classes every week. Don’t worry, they’re recorded, so even if you miss one, you can check it out later. If you’re really strapped for cash, pick up a class pass for a cool $10—every little bit counts.

Haven Yoga Studio Barre And Wellness

Tucked away in Buderim, Haven Yoga Studio Barre and Wellness are another adored studio that has had to close due to COVID-19. But don’t be fooled into thinking the team aren’t working hard behind the scenes. Now offering 17 live stream classes each week, you’ll be challenged, rejuvenated and inspired in the comfort of your own home. With playback and an ever-growing library of high definition ‘on demand’ classes available, there’s no way you’ll run out of workouts with Haven.

Circ Studios

Those invested in the world of aerial arts were dealt a massive blow when Circ Studios was forced to close its doors. But while antigravity workouts might be out, you can still work on your strength and flexibility thanks to the studio’s online class offerings. We’re talking HIIT, stretches, booty burners…the works! Join in on one of their sessions by downloading the Circ Studios app, and prepare to get moving.
