The only thing better than cheese itself is a whole lunch dedicated to cheese. And lucky for us, the team at Maroochydore’s Orleans have taken it into their own cheese-loving hands to create that very thing.
The result? A Cheese Degustation Lunch! Popping up on Friday 13 December at Orleans, this sit-down event will send your tastebuds into a frenzy over the complex flavours of French cheese.
Spread over four lavish courses, you’ll be indulging in delectable dishes with a cheesy twist, starting with a crowd favourite of honey truffled goats cheese. And from there, it just keeps getting better.
First up, there’s the Manchego and Gruyere fondue with Andouille sausage, followed by ricotta and sage dumplings with blackened Dory, and then twice-cooked vintage cheddar soufflé completed with sticky beef cheek. To end the lunch, you’ll be licking the plate clean of torched Buche D’Affinois (French triple cream brie) with crushed cranberry and pancetta salsa, squid ink sesame tuille and apple salad. Easily one of the best restaurants in Maroochydore, we’re starting to see that everything Orleans touch turns to cheese. And we’re hardly mad about it.
With their previous cheese-dedicated dinners a total sellout, bookings to this epic day-time event are essential. So, round up your fellow cheese addicts, get in a festive mood and reserve your table, stat.
