Three’s A Trend | Festival Beauty Looks

With the international festival season about to roll in and Coachella just days away, we’re taking our cues from the 2019 runways for festival-themed beauty looks.

Whether you’ve managed to snag a ticket to Palm Springs or you’re just wanting to exude some of those Cali vibes, these are the three biggest beauty trends we’re predicting at Coachella Music Festival 2019.

Saturated Neon

Neon continues to rule the runways and dominate street style this year (one look at YSL’s glow-in-the-dark catwalk set, GDCS’s A/W19 collection, or all things Off-White and you’ll know it’s going absolutely nowhere fast)—so expect the 2019 festival set to dial up the saturation. Go head-to-toe neon or play with colour with a jolt of fluro eyeliner and matching nails. Anything goes.

Stacked Hair

Hair pieces at festivals, not so ground breaking. This year though we’re taking our cues from the Christian Siriano and Rodarte runways, where models’ hair was embellished with chainmail, oversized barrettes and flowers. Ditch the flower crowns and box braids this year for clip in metallic accents and one or two faux flowers.

Nostalgic Cali

Think Big Sur meets 90s grunge and you’re there—it’s the ultimate nostalgic trip. Pair wet-look or air-dried hair with minimal makeup (save for some dewy highlighter and mascara). Just throw on a vintage tee and a bucket hat and you’re sorted.
