Sunshine Coasters, it’s time to brush up on your virtual reality and dodgem car skills, because Timezone is opening one of its biggest arcades ever, and it’s popping up in Maroochydore.

Launching on Saturday 7 December (the opening date has been pushed back a week), the all-new space spans over a mammoth 2200 square metres and boasts a huge array of attractions and games from old favourites to the latest and greatest indoor entertainment concepts.

Don’t miss the virtual reality adventures, including the hugely popular Virtual Rabbids—the world’s first attendant-free VR attraction—as well as the cutting-edge laser tag arena that will see your date become your enemy within seconds.

There’s also drift bumper cars and tenpin bowling, and if you get hungry from all that winning, you’ll be pleased to know the Timezone cafe dishes up prime game food, like hotdogs, milkshakes and nachos.

The time to let your inner child run completely free is here, so ditch the Netflix and wine for a sugar-fuelled evening that will take you straight back to the 2001 version of you. For more information, click here
