All The Food And Wine Festivals To Look Forward To This Spring

Spring is finally here and we couldn’t be more relieved to shed our winter down jackets and dust off those beer garden bench seats. In anticipation for the slight improvement in weather, we’ve scoped out the best food and wine festivals on the calendar this spring season, And booze hounds - this is the only list you need to read this season.

Royal Melbourne Oktoberfest

If one Oktoberfest event isn’t enough for you, then sign yourself up for the Royal Melbourne Oktoberfest at the Royal Exhibition Building this September and dust off that lederhosen. The bier-paradise will feature oompah bands, folk dancing, on-stage competitions and over fifty imported German beers. There’s also cider, wine schnapps, and spirits to keep it fresh, plus traditional German meals like pork hocks, bratwurst, pretzels and the beloved schnitzel.

But wait, there’s more! Get a double shot of gin and head to the Gin & Vodka festival at Federation Square this October. You’ll be treated to a combination of artisan and commercial spirits from across Australia, plus a selection of ripper food trucks and dishes from Australia’s leading chefs.

Fancy a trip out to the King Valley? You're mad if you don't head up to the 31st Brown Brothers Spring Wine & Food Festival in November. There will be a dedicated Sparkling & Oyster Bar, which is basically our dream bar, and it all takes place over 2 big days in conjunction with the King Valley La Dolce Vita Festival.
